Very good buy
This is the best jacket I've had in 20 years living in the West Scottish Highlands.Lightweight, waterproof, windproof, accurately sized and big enough, good hood, inside pockets, nice style and well made.Price still a lot for me but worth it, a fraction of what you'd pay for the mountain brands.

Lovely lightweight jacket
This jacket is ideal for autumn/springtime wear. Lightweight, comfortable and looks good. I loved the internal pockets, which have been very useful.

Nice fit, lightweight, unsure about heavy rain though
Nice grey colour, good pockets, light weight, good size hood, good for spring or autumn. Good windproof jacket comes to mid thigh. Good for light showers. I think in heavier rain, the water will stick more, not sure it's fully waterproof.

Great coat
After agonising over which coat to buy, I went with this one. It’s great! Good value, warm but lightweight. Very practical. Haven’t tested it in the rain yet, but hope it’s ok!

Not quite so waterproof
After having the coat a few week and wearing it about 3 times in the rain, I have noticed that my shoulders on my jumper have been damp. So the coat is obviously not waterproof.Apart from that the coat is lovely to wear and is very practical, has good sized pockets and great length.Really wish it was more waterproof though.

Thin but surprisingly warm
I needed a replacement for my beloved softshell walking jacket, which has worn out over the years and become a bit too snug due to weight gain. I can't find a decent replacement in the local shops so I took a chance with this one and I'm so glad I did, it's lovely. It's quite thin but very windproof, and due to the thin layer of fleece inside, it's really warm. I get very hot when walking so I'd only wear this in the winter. I went with the XL as I like my clothes to be roomy, and as a large 14/small 16 on top, this was perfect. I can get a couple of layers on and still have room for air circulation inside. It's nice and long as well, reaching to the middle of my thighs (I'm 5'4").The hood is somewhat bulky and a bit long at the front, but I always wear baseball caps so this isn't an issue. It has drawstrings to keep the wind out and it's also removable. The outer pockets could do with being a bit deeper as it feels like things could fall out, but inside there are 2 very deep pockets so I'll get into the habit of using those for valuables.I was a bit dubious as to how waterproof this would be as I didn't think softshell could be, but I walked in quite a moderate downpour and it looked like it was beading off the material. I did feel slightly damp when I got home but I dont know if that was perspiration or the rain. The arms are quite long due to the size I chose but they have velcro fasteners to keep them snug against your wrists, and I could also fold them under instead so I could get the air flow.I love the 2 way zip, I think all walking jackets should have these, they're brilliant. It also has a drawstring waist so it looks a bit more form-fitting if you'd like. I'll see how this jacket goes this winter but I'll probably end up buying another for when this one wears out. Highly recommended.
