Unicorn Beetle Pro Rugged Case for Galaxy S9 with Screen Protector - Black

These seems like a very solid case. I like that it includes a front screen protector as well as back in one so that (a) I didn't have to do extra shopping finding the right size screen protector and (b) I didn't have to put on the clear laminate screen sticky protector (like my last phone) which was more effort and took multiple tries to get it on close to right (and even then maybe still had some slight bubbles. The top screen protector and back fit together very snugly. I find it somewhat hard to open up the case (separate top and bottom parts) once it's on but I find this more of a feature of good, well-made, protective cover vs. a drawback of the product, though it is a little inconvenient when trying to open the case to get to the phone itself (e.g. to change SIM or SD card). One thing I wondered about before buying is if the screen protector, which is pretty sturdy, would require me pressing harder on the phone touch screen but it's not bad. My fingers don't quite glide the same as on the super smooth S9 phone directly but I don't feel it's a lot of work to push extra hard (with the screen protector on) to make general touch, swipe, keyboard taps, etc. work. Also, the Galaxy S9 (not sure whether it was the stock Android software included with this unlocked phone or an upgrade I did after getting it) has Settings > Advanced Features > Touch sensitivity option (on/off toggle) with a feature description "Increase the touch sensitivity of the screen for use with screen protectors." I haven't needed to use it but nice to know it's there to not worry about that issue when considering this case. As you'd expect, this case has the hole cut-outs in the right places for all the key inputs/outputs and buttons of the Samsung Galaxy S9 phone (not the S9 Plus version) -- volume up/down, power, USB-C charger port, 3.5mm headphone jack, etc. I like that the case differentiates the up/down volume buttons a little bit so you can distinguish them. I have my phone in the case all the time but IIRC the phone has a single extended button for the whole volume rocker (up and down) so IMO this is an enhancement over the phone. I like the port plugs on the bottom of the case for the USB-C charger and 3.5mm headphone jack. The "plugs" are attached to the case so they're not separate losable parts but they provide extra protection from dust, water, etc. when not in use (which is most of the time for me). I like that this option included a holster for wearing on a belt. One thing that's missing that I'd use occasionally but don't miss very often is a stand on the back of the case so that I could sit my phone on a table when watching a video. But that would add extra weight and bulk. I don't write reviews for all the products I buy, especially ones that are this in depth, but I wanted to share how happy I am with the product.

I bought this case for use with a Samsung Galaxy S9. Easy to install. Packaged well. I’ve had this case in use about a month or so. I like this case a lot. It’s half the price of the more popular brand, and I believe it functions just as well. All button and port holes line up perfectly. I like the material it’s made of - not quite as rubbery as the famous brand in the yellow box. It’s easy to hold onto. I recommend watching the installation instructions on YouTube. The packaging has a QR code to take you to the installation instructions. I may buy another one of these and stash it away for future use, since I tend to keep my phones for at least 3 or 4 model upgrades. SCREEN - I’ve used Otterbox in the past, but purchased this one due to there being no screen cover on the Otterbox. The screen cover on this one fits the phone screen snuggly. Doesn’t appear to have any room for dust to get inside. When delivered, there is a protective film on the screen, which you peal off. I recommend cleaning the screen cover after peeling the film off. I used eyeglass cleaner on the plastic cover after installation, and carefully cleaned the actual screen before installation. NOTE: The Galaxy S9 screen is made of Gorilla Glass 5 - Google it for details. It’s extremely scratch and shatter/break resistant. The thin screen cover on this case gives an added layer of protection. The clip-on phone holster or carrier is nice. The clip is snug. It holds the phone securely. Hopefully the belt clip last linger than those on the Otterbox, which are prone to failures. The price is great good for what you get.

My case fits perfectly. I replaced another more expensive brand that I have used extensively in the past and was generally happy with. However, the Galaxy S9 model didn't have an integrated screen protector. This case has the integrated screen cover which I was told wasn't possible to make because it was a curved screen. SUPCASE managed to do it! Time will tell if this case holds up well over time. I will update the post if I have any issues or comments. So far nice job SUPCASE! 11/02/18 UPDATE I've had this case since March and it has performed well. Other than a few light scratches on the screen, no other problems. I've dropped it a few times and no issues. Nice job! 02/18/19 - UPDATE Well the belt clip finally broke as I was working around the house. I've contacted the warranty service to see if they will cover it under the 1-year warranty. I realize a lot of people don't use the belt clip, but I always do. I will update the post when I hear back on a resolution. The case is still going strong! 02/22/19 - UPDATE I heard back from Supcase the same day I contacted them and they agreed to send a replacement. Today I received my brand new belt clip in the mail in addition to a new case! They really stand behind their product. Customer service was quick, no hassle, and very customer friendly. Thank you Supcase! 05/11/19 UPDATE Replacement case still looks like new. Belt clip is great. Dropped my phone the other day as I was getting out of the car, thank goodness I had this case on it. No issues at all. Fantastic product for me. 07/21/19 UPDATE Case is still going strong. I got a few scuffs on the screen from regular use, but nothing major. The case and belt clip are really going strong. I continue to be impressed by the quality on this case. So far so good! 08-07-19 UPDATE I dropped my phone yesterday as I was getting out of my car. Smacked right on the asphalt. Phone is fine! Case cracked in the bottom left corner. It still works though! I thought I would reach out to customer service again to see if they would warranty my replacement case. Sadly, no they said the warranty was only from the original purchase date which was well over the one year. I don' fault them for that but it would have been nice to honor the replacement case which I've had for less than a year. I'm going to hold onto the case a bit longer just to really test it out. Let's see what happens! 11-25-19 UPDATE I finally kicked down and bought a new case. It arrived today and fits much tighter than the old, cracked case. I did get an extra few months out of the broken case so that's not bad. I attached a few photos for you. Considering this thing is like 1/3 the cost of the other guys I'd say it's still a great buy. Also - the holster is still going strong. Other brands the holster breaks fairly easily. This holster is pretty sturdy. I'll the post if there are any new issues. Thanks! 05-24-20 UPDATE It's been a while since I updated this, so thought I would take a moment to let you know everything is going great. No problems with the case or holster I bought 6 months ago. Screen is good too. I typically take the case off about once every two weeks just to clean it out. Overall still very happy! Go Supcase! 10-30-20 FINAL UPDATE Well I finally upgraded my phone so this is the last update here. I kept my S9 and still have the Supcase on it. I don't use it much anymore though! I bought a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE and love it. As soon as Supcase advertised the case I bought it. I'm one of the early adopters. Check out that review for more info. Thanks for reading!

The product is great. It's made out of good quality plastics and is rigid adequately at the corners. It comes with a belt clip holster has a good overall protection. Though after installing it gives a sense of a bulkier phone. The screen protector works well and can be used with a pre-installed tempered glass.

Moi qui cherchais une coque solide pour protéger mon S9, me voilà servi ! Livraison dans les temps, bon, le paquet était un peu aplati (merci La Poste) mais vu que c'est une coque de protection, après tout, j'ai pris ça pour un test. Une jolie boîte qui ressemble à celle du S9 d'ailleurs, avec la coque protégée par de la mousse. Un QR code mène directement à un tuto sur YouTube (pour iPhone, mais c'est déjà ça). Pour l'installation, c'est extrêmement simple, on clipse le dos de la coque sur le téléphone et on encastre le tout dans la face avant. Cette coque se divise en 2 blocs : - un support massif avec le clip (non amovible) qui se fixe à la ceinture - la protection proprement dite qui se fixe autour du téléphone et qui s'insère dans le support de ceinture. Non, il n'est pas possible de retirer le clip, mais vous pouvez utiliser uniquement la partie "coque" sans la partie "support", le téléphone est parfaitement protégé : coque autour et plastique sur l'écran et vous n'avez pas à gérer la pince de ceinture. La protection de la vitre est sensible, pas de différence notable dans l'utilisation, pas de reflets, rien à redire. Rapport qualité prix : c'est du costaud, et pour 25€ vous garantissez que votre téléphone à 1000€ sera bien à l'abri, donc, c'est rentable. Élégance : moi, j'aime bien le design "costaud", après, pour le raffinement, mieux vaut voir ailleurs. Appréciation : si vous cherchez une vraie coque bien solide qui résiste à tout (ou à peu près), c'est pour vous. Si vous cherchez plutôt de la légèreté et du raffinement, passez votre chemin.
