THANK GOODNESS!
THANK GOODNESS I found this replacement printhead for my HP Officejet Pro 8610 ! My printer has always worked great, for years! Suddenly one day, it just didn't print and showed an error that the printhead was the problem. I tried everything I read online and finally determined that I just wore it out. After looking at SO many printers online and trying to decide what I could get that would compare to my HP that I loved, I finally ran across THIS, which is a legit HP Printhead replacement, NOT A KNOCK OFF! Sure, I could have bought a cheap printer to 'get by', but instead I bought this and boy, was that the RIGHT CHOICE! It was easy to install, and my HP Printer works great again! I didn't have go through all the changes that installing a new or different printer would require and I have the quality printing from my older machine, just like normal. Yay! The Price is actually really good, IF you consider it INCLUDES ALL THE INK CARTRIDGES! I don't think most people consider the cost of those, or don't realize they are included. That makes this a very good deal, in my opinion. If you have an older model printer that you love and want an EASY fix for printhead problems, this is the BEST way to go!

Brought my HP Officejet Pro 8620 back to life
So thrilled to have my printer back up & running. After 6+ years & 30,000 color pages printed my 8620 started kicking up the error message "Print head not found, installed incorrectly, or missing." My first thought was to look for another 8620 to purchase but I soon found that was just wishful thinking. That's when I realized I had 2 options. I could either buy a new printer or take a gamble & replace the print head and see if that would fix it. After looking at what was available in new printers and not seeing anything comparable, I decided to go with option #2 and buy this print head. And I am so glad that I did! It came with clear instructions & was a breeze to replace with the broken one. Also came with a whole set (4) of new ink cartridges which are costly in itself. Yes, there are many cheaper replacement print heads offered but as much as I love this printer it was well worth the price & saved me money in the long run. This was the right choice for me and I definitely would do it again if need be.

Saved my old, favorite printer
I’m retired from HP, and have my last office printer as my current home printer. It’s an OfficeJet 8610e All In One, and has served me well. I “cheaped out” and bought non-HP ink, which ultimately leaked ink and resulted in error messages and the inability to print. Fortunately this printer has a user-replaceable print head that carries the cartridges. Unfortunately, it shows as no longer available from official HP parts. That’s where this came in. The circuit board has the HP logo etched on it, and appears to be genuine. It showed up with HP starter cartridges, and the unit was easy to install. Even for an arthritic old man with neuropathy. Bonzer. The printer came up straightaway. I ran the print alignment, and away we go. Not cheap, but if you have an old printer you like, it’s a bargain. I may buy my wife one of the new tank-based printers, but this one has served well, and discarding it would feel like losing an old friend. It’s printed many sheets for both my position at HP/HPE, and for personal use. In summary, I highly recommend this as a repair. And, much as I hate spending the money, I recommend buying genuine HP cartridges. They fit and seal right, and I could have saved myself $172 or so by just sticking with them, even when I stopped getting them free for office use.

Printing with Rhythm
When I recently inserted a new, genuine HP cyan ink cartridge into my HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus inkjet printer I got the message: “There is a problem with the printer or ink system. Turn printer off, then on. If problem persists, contact HP.” I figured it may have just been a fluke so I popped out the cartridge and pushed it back in. Same message. I only use HP cartridges so I knew it had nothing to do with using a no-name cartridge. I figured the cartridge was defective so I bought another one. Same message. Now I assumed I would have to buy a new printer but after an exhaustive search of printer brands and models, I found that no one seems to like any brand or model of inkjet printer these days. I began searching online for people who had a printer like mine and who were having the same problem with it. That’s when I began seeing comments from people who had success replacing the printhead. It seemed weird to me that a printhead would suddenly stop working but I really like my printer, even more after reading reviews of new printers so I looked to see if Amazon sold printheads for my printer. Of course they did. It's Amazon. Prices varied a lot. This printhead cost more than my entire printer did but I was hesitant to try one of the knockoffs even though they were half the price. So I bought this one. It took all of two minutes to take out the old printhead and put in the new one. HP even has a video on their website with easy-to-follow instructions if you’re uncomfortable doing these kinds of things. After I popped in the new printhead, I sent a color picture file to the printer. I honestly did not expect it to work. The printer first wanted to go through an alignment procedure, which took about a minute. It printed out a perfect alignment page and then it printed out the picture I sent. I was amazed. It printed perfectly! The problem was indeed the printhead and I now have my printer back. Yay! So you might be wondering why I am only giving this purchase four stars instead of five. I’m glad you asked. When I took the printhead out of the box, I heard a rattling sound inside it but thought maybe it was supposed to be that way until it was put into the printer and the ink cartridges were inserted. No. It still rattles. It sounds like someone playing maracas while the printer is printing. It’s not super loud but it shouldn’t make any noise at all. I suspect there is a small piece of plastic rolling around inside the printhead that might have broken off during the manufacturing process and rattles as the printer vibrates during printing. I thought of returning it for a replacement but since the printhead works fine, I didn’t want to risk returning it for a replacement and having something wrong with the replacement. Now I just think of my printer as having musical rhythm when it prints and I’m fine with that. I am otherwise very happy to have been able to fix my printer so easily!

Brought My HP Officejet Pro 8600 Back To Life !!!
SUCCESS!!!! My HP Officejet Pro 8600 has worked perfectly for many years until I changed the black ink cartridge. As soon as I put in the new cartridge I received printer failure errors. Cleaned the old printhead per YouTube videos. Then I received damaged cartridge errors, even after installing more new ink cartridges. Ordered this HP OEM printhead with setup cartridges. It came in original HP OEM packaging. Carefully installed the new printhead and setup cartridges per instructions. I did noticed the new printhead fit much tighter into it's cradle than the old printhead. Also noticed the ink cartridges fit much tighter in the new printhead. The printer accepted it and began it's alignment routine. HOWEVER, the alignment lasted way too long (20+ minutes) and the printer just sat there. I then read that if this happens, it is stuck in a "loop" and to perform a "hard reset" by unplugging, waiting a few seconds, then plug back in, which I did. The printer regained consciousness, finishing alignment, and printed the test page in a couple minutes!!!! I bought a ANOTHER set of new ink cartridge to use when the setup cartridges run out. I did save the OTHER new ink cartridges, thinking that they may work. Not sure if I want to take the chance of trying these even though they have never been used to print but were installed during the cleaning fiasco. My guess the old printhead was just wore out. Long story short, very happy the new printhead solved my problem and my old 8600 has been giving a new chance at life!! Much better than buying a new, cheaply made HP printer. Hope this helps someone with the same problem. Good Luck!

HP OEM Products
Product worked as expected. No problem with installation at all. Go HP OEM is the best option. NOTE: I had after marketing printer cartridges, after awhile ink was leaked inside the printer. Cleaned old ink with a quitip and acholol. Replaced with new HP cartridges. Everything works great 👍

Up and working again!!
Works fantastic! I was going to buy a new printer but all the new printers are cheap plastic junk so this was so worth the money and came with ink also for cheaper than a new printer that would have probably broke in a couple years! I will just need to use HP ink from now on but honestly I got 12 years out of this printer using knock off ink before having an isssue I really cannot complain! 200.00 to fix it and that includes new ink cartridges also! I’m over the moon! Love it! Thank you HP and Amazon for finding an authentic part ! Used it in my HP 8610
