This system is amazing! I never thought anything could thicken my thin hair especially since I’m in Cancer treatment, but it has and it’s noticeable to other people. I used to have to spend time trying to hide the spots where my scalp showed in the back, but now I don’t even have to worry about it because my hair has grown and thickened. This is a great product!

I have been using Nioxin shampoo and conditioner for a few years. I hadn't been using it very consistently and noticed I was having a lot of hair fall recently, and decided to commit to it. I also decided it was time to see a dermatologist about my hair fall/loss. Turns out there is something else going on with me and this shampoo won't fix it - BUT it certainly won't hurt and my dermatologist didn't have anything against me continuing using it. But I will be addressing the actual medical reason for my hair loss. In the meantime, I'm continuing to use the shampoo and conditioner. I really love the smell and the way the product feels on my scalp. I have also been using the thickening foam that came with in the package. The foam is really interesting... I put it on while my hair is still damp and when it dries, it seems to sort of "glue" my hair strands together - makes it a little tough to comb through my hair at first. I can't decide if I like it or not. I'd say that it's more of a "volumizing" product - which is similar to other volumizing products I've used that raise the hair after blow drying. Overall -- I'll continue to buy this shampoo/conditioner because it's a great product and while it won't fix my hair loss, it will keep my scalp healthy. For anyone dealing with hair loss - I highly recommend contacting your Primary Care physician and your dermatologist and have them work together to evaluate and help diagnose you. I'm finally starting to see my hair stop falling out now that I know what the real problem is.

For reference, I have fine 3a hair.I was doing the curly girl method for several years and towards the end my scalp was feeling very unhealthy and I was losing a lot of hair (probably due to several factors) I tried lots of products and vitamins and would have to use multiple shampoos in one wash to get my scalp feeling clean. I’ve been using this set for about 3 months now. My hair looks and feels much healthier now. Most importantly my scalp feels clean and refreshed. I have not seen regrowth, but I have noticed I’m shedding less hair. Hopefully regrowth is coming. I have been using this conditioner plus my normal curly conditioner because I felt this one wasn’t super moisturizing. My curls still look good despite abandoning cgm. I would recommend this product and will keep using until I feel like my scalp/hair have fully regained health. If you’re on the fence make the switch!

I’m almost 60, the last few years my hair has fallen out so badly that it’s everywhere. I’ve tried biotin, stopped coloring, stopped daily washing and it just progressively got worse. My hair is fine, but I used to have a lot, no products I tried were helping. Came across this looking for something else to try. Purchased the large in #2 for non treated heavy loss with a special Amazon was offering. Washing every 2-3 days and using all 3 products exactly as directed. It’s like magic and exactly what I was hoping for. I did immediately notice, even though I hadn’t colored my hair in almost a year, it stripped color out after the first wash. It also brought out more gray which I’m ok with. Def do not use the one for natural non-treated hair if you want to keep the shade you have. My hair is long and I try to use equal amounts of shampoo and conditioner but I need a little more conditioner as the shampoo does def cause the need for it. I just use some conditioner I have at home on my ends. The pic (grey shirt) is after a day, washed around 5:15 am, dried and did nothing else. Not brushed (which just seems to make it look fuller) vs prior to using this brushing just made it more limp/oily looking.I think avoiding everyday use works better for me. Previously when I didn’t wash daily by the 2nd day I had to use so much dry shampoo and it would still look lank and unhealthy. The results I’ve received in a week are spectacular. The 2nd day it still looks great, 3rd day is acceptable but it’s just needing to train my scalp to not overproduce oil. Scent is nice and I’ve not had any negative side effects. Also, and I don’t know how this is even possible but my hair loss has improved by 75% already. (I say as I pull a strand of hair off my shirt). Hoping it will continue to be this beneficial. So thankful I found this.* no idea how much of the foam you need to use. I’m using about 4-5 squirts and just doing the best I can to get it near my scalp then I comb it through with a wide tooth comb or pick.Before- blue dress, had washed it 2 hours earlier (pic was taken 10 days before the other one)After- grey shirt had washed 11 hours earlier

Only been using it for 2 weeks and have already noticed considerably less fallout.For context: I have hypothyroidism, but it's under control; the med (levothyroxine) causes hair thinning.My hair has been thinning out slowly over the last few years and having a poor diet wasn't helping anything either.Fixed the diet, but it didn't help.I am using this product in conjunction with: biotin, collagen, a probiotic, Geritol, fish oil, and zinc gluconate. Started the supplements around the same time as the hair system, so I don't think that has any bearing on the results I'm seeing this quickly. Will update this again in another week3 WEEK UPDATE:Significantly less hair fall out during the day and especially when I shower and brush my hair. Hair is also looking less thin on my scalp. I AM SO HAPPY. Will update again in another week.4 WEEK UPDATE:A lot less fall out and I can really tell a difference on the sides of my head where the thinning was the worst. It's starting to fill in! My hair hasn't looked this good in YEARS. It's looking thicker and I can really tell a difference when I put my hair up.

UPDATE 10-4-24: I am going to stop using this product. While it never did actually help to regrow any hair, my hair seemed to stop falling out for a short time. But no longer - hair loss in the shower, and tons of hair in styling brush. Not sure why...but I've stopped blow drying and styling my hair. And it has done nothing to strengthen my hair or make it "seem" fuller. I hate to go back to monoxidil as it leaves the roots of my hair feeling crunchy and very dry. Sigh.....June 2024: I just received this yesterday morning, so this is a preliminary review. The box contains the shampoo, conditioner and thickening treatment. The shampoo and conditioner are fine. Left my hair feeling clean, shiny and soft. But beware of the thickening treatment - mine is going in the trash! After applying it to my slightly damp hair, I tried to complete drying and styling using a hair dryer and a large round styling brush. OH, BROTHER! It was so hard to pull the brush through my hair, I thought I was going to pull my hair out! Very scary. And now, the next day, the hair within a few inches of my scalp feels very stiff and crunchy, Am going to wash my hair again to remove the "thickening" product.After I have used up all the shampoo & conditioner, I will update this review to assess whether it has helped to reduce the thinning of my hair

I was on the fence about purchasing but I am so glad I did! A month in and I’m sporting new growth all over. I’ll report back in 6 months but I’m really impressed with the system. I’m using the 2 one. It’s completely stopped my hair loss. No longer am I seeing all the strands fall out.

UPDATE: This has either stopped working, or my hormonal condition is worsening. I likely will not repurchase. So disappointed because it really seemed to be helping at first.Original review:I’m am a female in my mid 30s dealing with a thyroid disorder and post-pill hair loss. My hair has been falling out in clumps for about a year now. It’s so traumatic. My heart is with all of you going through it too.I have been trying different supplements, shampoos, and even rogaine for this last year while this was happening. None of it helped. Some actually seemed to make things worse!This is the first thing I’ve tried that gave me hope. I thought I was imagining the drastic results after one use. Typically, after showering, when I brush, the entire bottom of my brush is covered with hair. Again, traumatic. I hate it.However, after ONE shampoo, conditioner, and scalp treatment I only saw one or two strands in my brush! I thought I must be wrong - like- maybe I cleaned the brush already and forgot?However, the same thing happened the next day! I looked at my brush and MAYBE three strands!For further proof, I got home very late one night and just grabbed my typical drug store shampoo instead of doing the nioxon system. You guess it - full brush of hair returned. Full brush! I am astonished at the difference it makes.Since I just started using it, I can’t testify to hair regrowth. But If this ONLY stops my hair loss, I will be the happiest person on earth.It actually doesn’t take long to do the whole process. Shampoo, condition (leave it on for about 3 mins). And the scalp treatment. The scalp treatment doesn’t feel like it needs to be too precise. (Unlike Rogaine) . It would take me so much time to separate my hair to get the rogaine to the exact right spots on my scalp. This is not like that. They say it’s fine (and good) if it gets in your hair too.The only downside for me is that my hair isn’t - bouncy, full, nice. It leaves hair feeling a little sticky and …for lack of a better word..flexible. However, I can deal with that! I will take it! I’d rather have my hair a little sticky than no hair at all.I’m planning on coloring my hair soon, so I may get the color safe version when I do. I hope it works just as well.I know this isn’t super affordable but it’s also not as expensive as other brands. I’d urge you to give it a try if you can budget it! I have tried many things to improve my thinning hair and Nixon is the only product I’ve had visible improvement with. Been using it for a year now and my hair is getting thicker and scalp is healthier with some new hair growth.

I've been using this product for just over 2 months and while I can't say as yet if it is thickening my hair, there's plenty of positives for me to share like less hair in my shower drain as well as my comb. For over 60 years I've suffered with an itchy scalp and I've tried everything from home remedies to highly vaunted dandruff products - all without success. I am thrilled to say that this product has completely eliminated that problem for good. I have long hair and aside from a clean scalp, I am definitely not losing as much hair as I have been for the past several decades. My hair is noticeably softer, has less breakage, static and zero tangles. (My hair falls in natural waves and ringlets unless I style it). I am also very sensitive to scents and this product has a very faint delicate smell that I can only describe as clean. I have also gone from having to wash my hair every other day to only once a week. While not every product will work for everyone, this one has both my gratitude and my loyalty.UPDATE: Okay, it's been nearly a year of using this product. Everything I wrote last year, still holds true. To add, I can honestly say my hair is thicker than it was last May. It isn't back to what it was 30 years ago, but there is lots of new healthy growth, my scalp is never itchy, my hair still rarely breaks and it's still soft and my hair loss is negligible, instead of the double handfuls of the past. Still a fan ~ still recommend!
