This little sander arrived today and it's absolutely perfect. I love that it has a velcro bottom to attach the sandpaper... it makes it so much easier than my old one.I bought it 2 sand the resin off my art pieces that have dripped which you can see the before and after the before is the blue one and the after is the purple one just perfect and easy and quick. I also bought it because I want to redo my cabinets and I want that distressed look.. I just have to figure out what number of the Sandpaper since they all function differently. And tho sand in certain directions i guess. But it's going to work fine I have never used a hi spec product before.The only thing that I find is that the dust collector it's kind of hard for me to put on to stay and it fell off during the standing but that's like not a big deal at all I don't even care. I would suggest wearing a mask and wearing safety glasses that's an absolute must and make sure children and animals are not nearby because of all the fine dust could trigger and allergic response or an asthmatic attack... and you just want to keep them safe you know how curious some animals are especially cats like to be up your koolaid......🤣😂🤣I was kind of concerned because of some of the negative response and this is the first time I've used the sander but even if it was just for one project like doing my kitchen cabinets it would be so worth the price so I had to get on here because I love this thing. I have fibromyalgia and any kind of strong vibration would bother my muscles this is no exception, it's got a really powerful rotation and vibration, I would just have to pace myself and do my projects consciously, like anything else.However my old Stander had much more vibration and was really really uncomfortable. So this is better all the way around , anyone with a chronic illness or muscular/ joint/bone/pain issues would appreciate this review. Because these things matter when functioning from day to day.I think it's a great little thing.I'm so glad I got this one. I mean who knew that I'd ever be buying tools to do artwork when I became an artist laugh out loud and I have no experience with very many power tools I Rely heavily on the reviews of other people.... so I always get a little concerned if I read a negative review. But this is exactly what I needed and wanted so it suits my needs for right now!💚

It works as it is supposed to. I’m a stay at home mom and I have been refinishing furniture on the side for extra spending money for a long time. I actually really do like this sander. I use it and my other two Dewalt sanders the most...but it’s extremely hard to find disc that are long enough to fit it! I’ve looked just about everywhere with no luck. I’ve resorted to using some that are about half an inch too short.

Working just fine but the sanding baseplate would not hold the sandpaper any more and all sanding stopped. Contact with Hi Spec is in process.

I bought this little sander to refurbish my kitchen cabinets. I like that it fits perfectly in my small hand. The cord is an adequate length. The on/off switch is a little cumbersome, so far I love that the sandpaper is held on by velcro, but I am reading reviews that the velcro doesn't last long. It seems to work well as far as functionality, I love the point.That being said, the dust bag is a joke. I cannot get it to attach and stay to save my life. Every time I think I have it on correctly, I turn it on, and it falls off. That's a little disappointing, it's more like a dust gun, but overall, I am satisfied. Keep in mind, I just got it yesterday so this review could change at any given time.EDIT: MY HUSBAND WAS ABLE TO ATTACH THE DUST BAG SO THAT'S GREAT NEWS, HOWEVER, I RECEIVED THIS ON THURSDAY, AND BY SATURDAY THE VELCRO PAD ON THE SANDER HAD LOST MOST OF THE BRISTLES, I HAVE TO EITHER BUY A NEW SANDER OR FIND NEW VELCRO PADS AS A REPLACEMENT PART. IF I FIND THE PADS AND THEY ARE REASONABLE, I WILL BUY AT LEAST A DOZEN JUST TO FINISH MY KITCHEN PROJECT.UPDATE:I CHANGED MY RATING FROM 1 TO 5 STARS FOR THE SELLER, NOT NECESSARILY THE PRODUCT. I CONTACTED THEM VIA AMAZON AND THEY ARE SENDING A REPLACEMENT SANDER AT NO CHARGE. THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE. I WILL UPDATE AGAIN, MAYBE I JUST GOT A FAULTY ONE THE FIRST TIME. IF YOU HAVE ISSUES, SPEAK UP, THESE COMPANIES DON'T KNOW IF YOU DON'T REACH OUT. IF IT'S A DESIGN FLAW AND ENOUGH PEOPLE SPEAK UP, MAYBE THEY CAN FIX IT.

Although this product comes with a vacuum and dust bag, the system is still very rusty sending particles not the air.

Great product. Fell off saw horse and would not come back on . I wrote the manufacturer explaining what happened hoping they might give me a discount on a new one. Again, it’s a good product.When I heard back the email contained shipping information for a replacement. I expected a possible discount for a new one but HiSpec sent a new one.Holy Moly. They are replacing the whole item?I asked if I was to ship the broken one back and they said no to keep it all.? These sanders have a bag of various grit sanding pads.So, here we are and HiSpec is taking the high road for customer satisfaction.On the quality and merits of the product you can’t buy a better one.i especially like it’s power ratingI recommend this HiSpec sander and you can feel confident that you’ll be taken care of by the customer service department.Thanks, HiSpec you’ll see more purchases from me. First-time user. My project is to sand all my kitchen cabinets and give them a fresh new look by painting them. I tested a section, it's nosey but it's a powerful small tool. I am glad it contains different types degrees of sandpaper so I can determine what is the correct grit. It's not heavy when I am holding it so that's a plus. Getting to corners was easy. Overall, an excellent tool to have.
