It's great have alot of fry so stops them getting sucked up only downside was took a long time to arrive.

Purchased this because it was cheaper and easier to protect my shrimp and baby fish. I had been purchasing sponges and cutting them to fit over the factory fitting. The problem was that any time I needed to clean the sponge I needed to wrap a paper towel around the sponge so it wouldn't release everything it was holding back into the tank. The filter running with this new fitting for 10 minutes had the water looking cleaner than running with the sponge and the shrimp have been doing just fine. I will need to clean the filter more frequently without the extra filter, but that is an easier task to do than cleaning the sponge. Added bonus, this looks a lot better than having a bulky sponge in the corner of my tank.

Great adaptor for the inlet. Fits perfectly and stops the baby fish being sucked up. Looks ascetically pleasing too
