It was as you would expect a dipole antenna I suppose if my Dog got a hold of it Well you get the Idea but for the cost it has exceeded my expectation by double sturdy and works well for reception on my shortwave radio

First off, decent build quality for the price. It brings in shortwave stations that you couldn't tune into at all without a product like this attached to the built in whip antenna. Overall pretty satisfied!

First of all the build quality is garbage. They clipped it attaches to the end of the telescoping antenna on my radio broke after only using it twice. Reeling it back in when you're not using it as a chore and it won't stay put inside its chamber it simply unreals itself and I have to keep reeling it back in over and over again. One of the worst purchases I've ever made on amazon.

Kind of a compact replacement for a temporary long wire antenna.

This increased my shortwave reception greatly over the whip that came with my radio. It also has a nice clip to attach to a whip so it will work with any radio. I just wish it included a 3.5mm to SMA adapter so I could plug this directly into my radio. I'm still looking for one of those. Especially for the price, this is a no-brainer.

Junk. Do not wste your time. Aside from zero difference in reception or signal to noise, the construction is poor quality. It will unreel itself and it is incredibly difficult to wind the antenna back up.

Clip on end of antenna wire broke off immediately when trying to attach to window rendering it absolutely useless. Do not waste your money.
