Hot Racing - Hard Anodized Aluminum Spur Gear, 83 Tooth 48 Pitch

This metal spur gear is for my traxxas bandit that I changed over to a brushless castle system. I have been running through the plastic spur gears because of the power system. I have not installed it yet . That is why I gave it 4 stars only. The build seems strong and feels like good metal option.

Bought these to change from 23pin/86spur to 26pin/83spur on my Slash VXL... Absolutely did not go as planned lol. These spur gears are the correct size, pitch and tooth for a Slash, Rustler, Stampede or even a Bandit. But most definitely not the right material. When I installed the first one, I was a little skeptical meshing aluminum with hardened steel. Even with both the notebook paper and click meshing techniques, my pinion destroyed both these spur gears with ease. Can't say I got maybe 30 mins of run time between both of them, sad day. I did go for the 86spur made of hardened steel from Hot Racing and have had no problems with my 26pin/86spur setup. Aluminum just couldn't handle the Velineon VXL-3 system.

Great quality part that lasts 10x longer then the stock spur gear my rc came with. Love it.

Extremely light weight. Way better than plastic. Recommend using aluminum pinion gear. Using metal against aluminum will chew up the aluminum spur gear.

Lasted two runs on 3s then completely sheared cant believe I was gonna run it on 4s

Sheared on 3s after first few min. Dont use unless moving slow
