MANGROOMER - INTELLIMAX PRO - (Version 1.0) - New Back Hair Shaver with Extreme Reach Handle and Features a New INTELLIMAX PRO Lithium Battery System! - (This is Version 1.0)

I owned the older red and black mangroomer back buzzer for five years. I used it consistently for three of those five years. After that time, it eventually stopped holding a charge. Five years on a single battery seemed pretty good to me, so I was happy with how long it lasted and wanted to stick with the same brand. I came here and saw they had a new back trimmer that just released (this new intellimax buzzer, with replaceable batteries) so I purchased it when it had no reviews. Got the buzzer and found it was really effective. It works even better than the last model. It has a very high quality feel in my opinion, and has better ergonomics than the last model. The handle is thicker and longer and overall feels more sturdy. But I do have some gripes I want to list out that I think can be improved in future models: 1. I wish there was a charge port built into the buzzer. I don't like having to take the battery out every time I want to charge. The battery cover is a bit of a pain to get back on (although, it does feel high quality). 2. I wish there was a simple on/off button. Or at least the order of the switch should be off, low, high. Currently the order is low, off, high. Which means you need to try and avoid switching the buzzer into low when you're really trying to just turn the buzzer off. Strange design. After three months of use, I ended up having an issue with my buzzer. I reached out to them and they went above and beyond to help. I was really worried about dropping $100 on a buzzer in case something went wrong after the return window, but these guys are very helpful so there's nothing to worry about.

This shaver works for about a month, then the poor craftsmanship starts to reveal itself. Around that 6 week mark the razor began to painfully pull my hairs out more than cut them. Yes, I would replace the batteries the new but no relief. I tried all settings, still no relief. Then at the 5 month mark, the entire end blade assembly starts falling off for no reason. I would replace it, lock it in, and still it would just fall off. On one occasion, it actually broke a tiny piece off as it hit my tiled shower floor, and now I’m completely screwed. Total piece of crap, don’t waste your money on this thing. So frustrating…

This is the James Bond of grooming - sophisticated, powerful, and always ready for shaving action. I was just blown away when I opened my box. The packaging is sleek and when I pulled it out of the box it felt super solid/well built. The Li-ion battery just charges right up with a USB-C cable. It came with the cable and plug. The shaving head is BIG and shaves smoothly. It also has the foil head which will make your skin totally smooth - you have 2 speeds to use. You must press down on the lock button to turn it on - they say it is good for travel so it doesn't accidentally turn on. You really feel like a back shaving ninja and I am not that flexible. The handle telescopes out and reaches everywhere. They have another nose trimmer and it looks like the battery also works with that - so that is cool to change it in and out. Highly recommend and you will not be disappointed.

Works pretty good. Not as good as getting waxed but will do the trick so u don’t look like a Sasquatch!!

I like that they now have a separate battery.

I have been using Mangroomer back shavers since 2005. i have owned every model. additional, Ive tried a few other alternatives as well. overall , mangroomer is the most effective when it comes to a close shave and useability. I was excited to purchase the IntelliMax Pro model, since my lithium ion max burned out. compared to the lithium ion max, (previous model) i found that the intellimax pro doesnt cut as well and it doesnt give a clean or close shave.

Dang. I really really liked the Mangroomer model that I had previously. For about 5 years it worked great. A spring came loose on the old model, and I figured I would upgrade. I’m very disappointed. The shaver head is excruciatingly painful, even when the battery is fully charged. The real disappointment is that the rest of this model seems so well built. I like the locking handle and the extension, and that there is a removable battery. But the device literally doesn’t work if it tears the hair out of your back.

This is more of a review of the company versus the product itself, but to make sure I keep to community guidelines, here we go. The product performs as described** (See below). Wide head helps to cut down the time it takes for me to groom. Interchangeable & rechargeable battery system is very convenient. Construction quality is top-notch. I upgraded to this version from the original ultimate pro, which I used faithfully for seven years. Now on to the really important part. A true test of a good company is how they respond when things dont go right. Just as a few others have mentioned, I had a few initial problems with my Intellimax Pro with pulling hair, and not cutting. I contacted Mangroomer directly through their email channel. To say this company is responsive and empathetic is an understatement. Mangroomer went out of their way to ensure that I was completely satisfied. They replaced the blades on my Intellimax pro, and remained in constant contact with me through the whole process. They even provided a few extras as compensation for my inconvenience. I have been using the Mangroomer products since 2017, and based upon this latest interaction, I will remain a loyal customer. Great products and great service.
