Renegade Game Studios Vale of Eternity Monster Taming Card Game for 2-4

I got this game for me and my husband to play together - he's an avid Magic the Gathering fan; I am not. I just don't like building decks, and having him build them for me doesn't work either because then he understands the cards' synergies so much better than I do. Enter Vale of Eternity. It's got the same mechanic of identifying ways you can pair cards in combination to maximize their impact, but since we're both drawing from a shared pile, the playing field is more level. We play pretty often and it's a ton of fun. The concept was easy to pick up as beginners, and as we're getting more familiar with the various card mechanics and potential combinations, it's only getting more enjoyable.

Great fun!!!! Really awesome gameplay. You can unlock really neat combos that really propels you to win. Looking to get the expansions as well.

Not a bad little game. It's a good opener or closer to an evening of heavier games. The art is really nice. I like the challenge of managing your currency with the limited amount you can have and the inability to make change. That does kind of make the one card that gives you the ability to hold more a bit OP though. I'll need to play it more to see if its such an advantage that the card might need to be nixed. Good quality components, easy to understand/teach and play.

The engines you build to score points or resources are well designed. Definitely recommend this game with expansions

This game is so stinking fun. I introduced it to my 10-year-old niece and 16-year-old niece and we play all the time with my brother who is 42.. So all ages can love this game.

Great competitive engine builder with interesting drafting mechanics. Super easy to learn and doesn't take long to play.

This is the game I wanted Fantasy Realms to be. The player interaction, hand management, currency mechanics etc. combined with the less linear card synergies makes it just so much more fun.
