Had it 6 months now its fine. Paid a bit over for a modular, but it cuts down, a bit, on junk in the case. Its quiet too.

Bought years ago, amazon wants a certain no of reviews, so this is one!Had it years and not had a problem. Not particularly noisy, can't say I've noticed it running, but it is under the desk.My PC gets a decent amount of varied use and is on all day everyday day.If you're looking at this you probably already know corsair are a top brand.

It is a standard fitment part so fitting is straight forward. I have installed it in a new build PC so if there are reliability issues it may take some time for them to materialize. The 10 year warranty and the Corsair reputation for quality also helps confidence. The last thing you need is a power supply going faulty - it could damage pretty well anything it supplies power to if it does or at least leave some components walking wounded which could, at best, cause you a lot of aggravationI have seen reviews where people were complaining of noise. However, the power supply so far has been quiet in operation and I think it was a good purchase at the price. You can buy power supplies at half or even a third of the price but I would not even contemplate it. With the price of motherboards, processors and video cards what they are it is false economy. The Corsair is Gold efficiency rated and a 650 Watt power supply is adequate for my needs. The cost of even higher efficiency power supplies did not warrant the electricity cost savings I would see. It is also worth noting if you do not need a lot of power then buying a higher output power supply than you really need is going to cost you more to buy and more to run as the higher output power supplies can be less efficient at the lower power outputs you are using.

I needed to buy a new PSU for a new build as the motherboard had an 8-pin power socket for the processor and the existing PSU only had a 4-pin plug. I particularly liked the idea that I only had to plug cables into the PSU the power cables I needed to use and in doing so did not have a jungle of excess cables to contend with. The kit also includes cable ties so you can tidy up after installation.

Very good and realiable product

Being fully modular makes installation easy and since replacing the one that failed my system runs faster and cooler, which I do not understand but is a great benefit.
