Lid leaks and customer service obfuscated
Have a couple of these mugs in the normal size so have been looking for a larger size for quite a while. Unfortunately the lid of this one is poorly made and leaks.Have tested this lid on the smaller mug and it still leaks. As the duties and postage cost as much as the mug I see no chance for a return.Cannot recommend this purchase. Also trying to contact the seller is via Amazon Customer Services only ... with a link that only refreshes the page. Is this another case of Amazon squashing negative experiences?

Best thermos cup I have ever owned
None of the locally made cups suited my needs, this looked perfect. It arrived today, I have given it a short test. The lid fits easily, it doesn't leak and the drinking button is easy to press. The best thing about this cup is that there is no spill around the sip hole when drinking. The slight downside is the with it being American it doesn't fit our cup holder in the car, however I realised this when buying so I am not marking it down for this issue. If you want a cup you can use when driving, this is the one.I have been using this for a few days now, wait a lot longer than the recommended 3 mins before putting the lid on or add cold water, lesson learnt, a burnt lip, this cup is great

Outstanding quality
Outstanding product. I bought this in 2017, and still going strong. No issues, leak proof. Perfect smart colour. Absolutely superb for hot or cold beverages. If you are using it for hot drinks, i recommend leaving the lid off if you aren’t travelling or needing it right away. This is to allow it to cool a little so that that its a drinkable temperature. However, if it’s piping hot with 100.celsius straight from the kettle water then it should stay hot for 4 hours. And at the 3 hour mark it may become drinkable. But you may find your experience to be different. Disclaimer: Careful when drinking hot beverages. As for cold, i recommend filling to the top with ice and the rest with water or drink of choice. When i add my mint and water in the summer. And drunk through all the water, i can add more cold water at work and the ice will still be going strong. However, with each addition of cold liquids being added and the time passing by, the ice will melt eventually.

Highly appreciated upgrade
This is an upgrade for my older (since misplaced) Contigo flask. It's clear that they've really refined their design, and addressed the problems I came across with their older models. For example, they've added the ability to lock the flask so that it doesn't accidentally get opened in a bag. The most notable improvement for me however is the ability to access the internal workings of the lid so that it can be cleaned. In the older models, it was very awkward, and pipe cleaners were needed to really thoroughly clean it out. Now you just pull a tab near the lid and the entire mechanism opens up letting you easily access everything inside. It's a huge improvement.Overall:Keeps drinks hot for hours.Good capacity.Easy to use and drink from. Can be locked to prevent leaks.Easily cleaned.Very solid product.

A tea cup for the real pro user.
I'm a train driver, and pretty much spend all day drinking tea while I work. These cups are absolutely the best available. Large capacity, totally leak proof, and keeps my tea hot for ages. It's operated by pressing a switch on the back while you take a sip, which automatically closes and seals the cup when released. There is a lock switch on the top which prevents accidental operation of the release, so I simply make my tea, click the kick switch and throw the cup into my work bag without any fear of it accidentally letting any liquid out.I don't like to put the coloured models in the dishwasher, as the finish cam be damaged, but it's really easy to clean out - I use one of those scrubber things with a handle, as the mug is pretty deep and is too narrow to get my hand inside to reach the bottom.I use this cup all day, five days a week, and it's showing no signs of wear or deterioration. Not the cheapest cup on the market, but to my mind the best, and let's face it, you get what you pay for.

My personal travel mug favourite.
Love the dark metallic purple colour.I tried a different contigo (yeah because it was cheaper!), the snapseal one and found the snapseal too tough for me to open with joint issues even to clean, I also found the design for sipping on the snapseal is nowhere near as good as this one even though the snapseal maybe easier to clean, it's not as easy to operate and drink from as this design. This is perfect for easy one handed gimp usage and sipping, definitely doesn't leak if you don't over fill - did that once and you have to keep liquid below the line, only natural that would cause leakage. That said if instructions are followed, you take reasonable care of it and you don't overfill it, it won't leak.I highly recommend either as an adult style tommy tippee mug, travel mug where you want easy use and often only able to use one hand at a time.

Great, best one yet.
I despise paper cups. I'm also not too fond of plastic ones. The leakproof system is really great. I lock the release when I put it in the waterbottle pocket of my rucksack when I cycle and not a drop of coffee has spilled anywhere. Very happy about that. The lid can be washed in the dishwasher, unfortunately the metal cylinder part cannot (presumably due to it's coating?) so it would be great if you could put the whole thing in the dishwasher but not exactly difficult to clean it with a good brush. I usually set off for work around 7:30 and by the time I get to my office just before 9 it's still steaming hot. So much so in fact that I usually have to remove the lid on the train journey to let it cool down a bit. I haven't exactly tested just how long it will stay warm because I'm usually finished with my coffee by the end of my 1hr commute. But it's been just great every day that I've used it. Looks pretty stylish too but the best part of all is the lid, it's very well engineered. Can't really comment on longevity yet, but at the price I paid .. if it lasts for more than a year, I'll be happy since it will have saved me hundreds of paper cups, and several pounds on buying coffee from a shop. And if/when the lid fails, it will still act as a decent enough cup.
