Is DDR5 backwards compatible with DDR4?

No. DDR5 has a different pin layout than DDR4 and DDR3. This means the DDR4 motherboards will not be compatible with DDR5 RAM.

Why is my memory not hittings its rated frequency?

Typically, you want to check the following: Are the modules inserted in the correct slots of your motherboard? Is XMP/EXPO enabled? Are your BIOS, chipset, and other drivers up to date? Is the memory stated as supported by the chipset on our website?

Works fine, it was compatible with my motherboard and the speeds were good, the ability to run at higher speeds is good and this was definitely a good upgrade from 8GB of DDR4 to 32GB DDR5, this amount of memory will definitely allow me to run more efficiently on games and also have more breathing room
