hose great - adapter not so much
this is my 2nd silicone shower hose -- ordered this one because of the adapter which doesn't work well -- the push button doesn't move easily -- the adapter is all plastic -- I don't want to put that much pressure on the pipe coming out of the wall -- I will be replacing the adapter with a 1/4 turn lever style made of metal -- the hose itself seems well made -- one end turns freely when installed the other stays fixed -- there are small flat areas on both ends to put a wrench on -- extra set of washers -- should last a very long time -- the black paint on the metal one that this replaced started to come off after 6 months -- not sure of the burst rating so I would not recommend using the shower head side to turn off the water if you have high water pressure -- will only be using this kind of hose in the future -- I like that it is quiet against the tile and that it doesn't twist up -- I'm fortunate that all of my fixtures are black -- highly recommend

Great for long durable shower head
We have a toddler who loves to take showers with us and the type we have has an extra extension just for him. This rubber hose allows it to get low and since he likes to play with it, it won’t wear out or break since it’s rubber. So I’m not worried about it bending or him being rough with it.Time will tell but it’s durable so far.The black looks great in the shower with the black trim of the shower.

Works and doesn't leak
I needed a bit longer replacement for the shower hose for when I needed to batch my dog in my shower room. The one that came with the shower head originally was just long enough that the shower head would not hit the floor, which given its intended use, but was probably intentional. But if you use your shower for bathing your dog, it's a bit more useful to have a hose that is a bit longer so that you can rinse / wet the underside of the dog. At 79", this is long enough to do that without being so long that it looks like you put a *garden hose* in your shower. :)Surprisingly, it threaded on perfectly and did not need any adapters and the washers it came with seated well. The only possible complaint that I have is that the ferrules that are on each end of the hose and screw onto the shower head diverter and the shower wand are completely round and have no place for a wrench. I would rather have seen them with a hex nut because I know that eventually they will have enough minerals built up in them that it will be difficult to remove by hand and will need a wrench. This will mean that you will either use a pair of slip-joint pliers or a pipe wrench and thus mar the surface of the ferrule. It also should be interesting to see how short of a time it takes for the minerals in the water around here to turn that black silicone surface more of a gray color. All in all though, it seems made well enough... I would give it a 3.5 star (i.e. "slightly above average") rating.STAR RATING SCALE:1 -- Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.2 -- Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.3 -- Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".4 -- Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.5 -- Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.Ordered:2024-01-13Received:2024-01-15Reviewed:2024-01-15

Using for my portable camp shower project
This extra long silicone shower hose is perfect for my portable camp shower project. The silicone is supple and smooth and the hose has good flexibility without being as rigid as the metal ones. The on/off valve that comes with this product is made from plastic and the plunger was stiff at first but it became easy after working it back and forth a dozen times. I added a black stainless steel bidet sprayer and an adapter to connect this hose to a 2 gallon pump sprayer and make an outdoor portable shower. The pump sprayer lets you have a pressurize system for showering or even washing dishes while camping. You can paint the sprayer container all matte black and leave it in the sun to heat up or boil some water and add it to the container to take a hot shower. Overall I well pleased with the quality of this hose and I would recommend this product.

Title says silicone, product info says it contains rubber
Proceed with caution if anyone in the household has a latex allergy. Although this was labeled a silicone hose, the description says it has a rubber interior. Running hot water through it gave off a smell like a rubber hose. It's also not nearly as flexible as the stainless one it replaced and doesn't swivel as expected. However, this one won't scratch the shower fixtures like that one had. It's got a soft silicone exterior that's less noisy or unpleasant to use and also matches the new fixtures. While the pause button didn't work before installation, it does open and shut (though with some difficulty) while water is running.

Why aren’t all shower hoses made this way?
Other than the black color (sorry, I’m not that trendy) this is really far superior to regular braided metal shower hoses. It is always warm to the touch, it is soft, it is extremely flexible (no odd twisting), and best of all, far, far easier to clean than a metal hose. Simply wipe it down and you are done.We have hard water, and when you combine that with soap scum, getting all the nooks and crannies in a braided hose becomes virtually impossible. Every so often I would disconnect the old hose and soak it in a solution of Simple Green, but it isn’t long before it’s time to do it again. The problem is nonexistent with silicone hoses, just grab a washcloth and wipe it clean. We ordered a shorter silicone hose a few months back and are converts. No downside to this, other than I’m not a fan of it being black. White or grey would be far more preferable, although some folks like black shower fittings so this would serve them quite admirably. The extra length is very much appreciated too!
