3M 1080 Carbon Fibre Anthracite Air-Release Vinyl Wrap Roll (1/2ft x 5ft)

3M 1080 is the best wrap vinyl you can buy. I do wraps for a living and just needed a little piece of this for a rc car project. Dont mess with the off brand stuff. Save yourself the hassle and just buy this stuff. People complained this is silver. Yeah in the description its called anthracite, not black. See the pictures for the difference. I feel this color is good for accents. Not panel changes. Get the black for panel color changes. The price is right too. Yeah its cheaper if you go to a warehouse vendor but youll need to get a big peice of it. These only come in 5ft rolls. If you need carbon fiber and your not a pro chances are youll be best off just buying it here your not getting ripped off and it is a fair deal.

I used this carbon fiber look vinyl as a stripe for the hood of my '19 Chevy Corvette Stingray C7. Application was simple as long as you have a hairdryer, a soft squeegee (one with a felt edge), and soapy solution handy. It will scratch easily if you apply just a little pressure while working out the bubbles, however. Other than that, I highly recommend this vinyl.

I'm a custom shop owner and don't usually order our wrap from Amazon unless we need something we're out of and need it faster than our distributors can get it to us. Even though the product description refers to 3M's 1080 version, you could receive 3M's 2080...that's a GOOD thing! 3M has replaced 1080 with 2080, which is BY FAR a better product.If you're a DIY'r, and have never used a "dry woven" carbon fiber wrap, purchase more than you need; it can be a little tricky on complex angles, so practice, practice, practice to prevent tearing at the fibers when you do your actual install...this product is NOT a print.If you want a professional finished product, use this product with 3M Primer 94 on edges ONLY!

Great product and the supplies tools work well. Takes a while to get the hang of it especially the corners. Highly recommend watching lots of YouTube videos before and during the process.

3M is pretty much the standard when it comes to vinyl quality and durability. I wrapped a trim piece in my headlights and have had no issues. It has withstood the Texas heat so far so I don't foresee any problems. Vinyl wrap seems like an easy process but if it is your first time be sure and look up a few tutorials, it is definitely a skill.

Bought this to test the look on my instrument panel

It took some work but I thought of this as a huge custom sticker. As things didn't lay right along the way I was able to peel back and re apply with the use the blue prep pad as a helping guide. I encourage anyone to take your time and don't freak out and you'll have satisfying results.After I did my Model S nose cone I decided to use leftover material to do the charging lid to my leaf for the fun of it. (1ft X 5ft roll for the whole job)Additional 3M glue stick aren't required where suggested on youtube.

This is a gray colored carbon fiber. I should have read more of these reviews.
