Following charges of corruption, Colva's (Goa) Police Inspector Rakesh Kadam kills himself, leaving a devastated wife, Megha, and son, Nitin. She takes it upon herself to canvas support that her husband was framed by a gangster, Jaykant Shikre, and vainly insists on a CBI Inquiry. When the High Court requires Jaykant, on unrelated charges, to present himself at Shivgad Police Station, which is located at the borders of Maharashtra and Karnataka, he refuses to do so, and the local Inspector Bajirao Singham, who has recently fallen in love with stunning Kavya Bhosle, summons him. An enraged Jaikant does appear along with an army of goons, but is no match for Bajirao, who has support from the entire community. Humbled and humiliated, Jaykant returns to Goa, and ensures Bajirao gets transferred there. It is here he not only plans to use an army of goons, his control and influence over politicians and senior police officers to plan the ultimate vengeance with impunity but also contest and win the local elections. Buy this film!
I can't speak any Hindi, but this didn't matter when I saw this film when I was in Jaipur this summer. Great film, funny, entertaining and full of action! Thoroughly recommended!

Somewhat disappointed
A friend of mine sent me a link to a clip of this film. It was the scene where Singham jumps out of his car, as it continues to skid away from him he shoots the tyre of the baddie whose car spins in the air and Singham pulls the culprit out of his car window landing him before and next to his car - ridiculous and funny in equal measures. It's not the first time I bought a foreign movie based on one clip, but it is the first time I was disappointed by doing so. The film with the exception of this and and another Youtube available scene was pretty dull, badly acted and way too long. My recommendation: just hunt out the Youtube clips.

The subtitles are only in part which means if you don't speak Hindi you miss most of the plot. But it is a great film !!!

Rempli de surprises !
Ce film, malgré un scénario assez complexe au début, se laisse suivre durant plus de 2 heures jusqu'à une fin digne des films Bollywood. Et pour pimenter un peu le film, le réalisateur a rajouté des scènes d'action, très improbables. Je pense notamment à une scène où une voiture fait un tonneau après une balle tirée dans un pneu, fait un grand looping en l'air, laissant le temps au tireur d'attraper le conducteur, toujours en l'air. Quelques scènes de ce genre sont dans le film, et apportent des fous rires tellement elles sont impossibles, et apportent aussi un moment de répit dans l'histoire.

Singham forever
Des scènes super-épiques de ce super flic à l'indienne qui feront frémir de plaisir tous les adeptes de l'exagération bollywoodienne. J'ai adoré ce film, les musiques sont vraiment sympa, l'humour y est peut-être parfois un peu naïf. J'ai trouvé la fin un peu étrange, peut-être est-ce ma mentalité occidentale, mais beaucoup de scènes sont de purs moment de plaisir.
