Booty Dice, Pirate Dice Game for Kids, Teens & Adults, 2-6 Players, Ages 8+

I got people who don’t like board games to play this game and they loved it, wanted to keep playing it. Super easy to learn, even for kids, and doesn’t over stay its welcome. Short, fast paced, and easily replayable. You’ll have a ton of fun with this one.

The way I describe it to people is it plays more like a video game than anything else I have played. You have lives that keep you in the game and doubloons to amass your wealth. You can win by knocking other people out of the game or going for the loot. It is very easy to pick up but has enough strategy for lots of replay value. I find that people I hang out with like casual games but it is hard to find one that is easy to pick up but is challenging and fun. After one round everyone has the hang of it and it is a full on pirate war.

Arg mateys! Keep your hands off me 🪙 treasure! Each 🏴‍☠️ pirate starts with 5 doubloons and 10 lives, but will that be enough to beat your shipmates? They’ll be tossing 🗡️ swords your way, plundering your booty, and stealing from the central chest, too. With all eyes on the gold, whoever gets to 25 doubloons first (before losing all their lives, of course) wins the booty! This dice chucker by messytablegames is a real treasure! It's so quick and easy to learn with such a fun theme and lovely artwork. My favorite part (besides having enough cheat sheets for every player) is the push-your-luck element. Like most dice games, you can lock in or reroll your dice, but in Booty Dice you actually want to get multiple 🌊 detrimental dice. When you get enough, they combine to give you an even better outcome. It is possible to play at 2p, but the more the merrier with this one.

Amazing game. Super fun. My 8yo learned it really fast and loved it so much he shared it with the grandparents.

Booty Dice is a super quick dice chucking game that's easy to learn and teach. It also has great player aids. This game is perfect for a light hearted group or newbie gamers. It's also small enough to easily toss in a bag and take with you. However, since you're stealing from and attacking each other, it may not work for all kids or siblings groups. While it isn't inherently super mean because part of it is the luck of the roll, it does provide opportunity for players to gang up on each other. Great. Items as described and very fast shipping.

My family LOVES this game! We have a 6-year-old and an 8-year-old, and this has become one of our go-to games. It’s really easy to learn and easy to play, which is perfect when everyone wants to play something but nobody wants to spend 30 minutes explaining the rules. It’s also quick enough that you can squeeze in a game before bed… although somehow “one more game” usually turns into two or three. The game itself is well made, the pieces are fun, and it has enough strategy and luck to keep everyone interested. It’s become a regular in our family game rotation, and for the price, I think it’s a great value. Definitely recommend for family game nights! 🏴‍☠️🎲

My family loves family game nights. As a result, we have played a whole lot of games. And since we have six kids from 17 down to 7 we have played a wide range of games. Every once in a while we find a real treasure of a game that appeals to every one of them. Booty Dice is one of those treasures (no pun intended... okay, maybe it was). The aim of the game is to be the first "pirate" to gain 25 doubloons or be the last pirate standing. This comes about through a dice rolling mechanic. Each turn you get three chances to roll your 6 dice. Much like Yahtzee, with each chance you can reroll as many or as few dice as you choose. Each roll gives you an opportunity to gain doubloons either from the treasure chest or other pirates, attack an opponent, gain a shield to protect yourself from an opponent's attack, or lose a life or some of your doubloons. Certain combinations of dice also allow you to inflict trouble on all of your opponent's at once. Game play is very simple to learn. Even my 7 year old, after a few games, was able to make his own decisions about his dice rolls and how he wanted to manage them. Not only did he manage his dice rolls, he ended up decimating his older siblings- even the 17 year old (okay, I admit it, he beat me as well). That is one of the things I like about this game. It is a great blend of luck and decision making for a family game. It is about a 65/35 blend of luck/strategy. That makes it perfect for younger kids to be able to hold their own against older kids without it ONLY being about the luckiest roll of the dice which would quickly lose the interest of the older kids. All in all, when my whole family wants to play a game over and over I know it is a good one. Easy to learn, high re-playability, a great blend of luck vs. strategy, and a fun theme (my youngest kept talking like pirates and calling everyone scurvy scalawags) make Booty Dice a game my kids will grab for family game night over and over again.

good
