Charge into Reading Decodable Books (Stage 2): 5 Consonant Blends Decodable Readers to Help Kindergarten and First Grade Beginning Readers Learn to Read (One Blend Type Per Book) Review: Perfect, love these readers - I got this for my 4 year old, who is learning to read. We love these books. She is working on her blends and I like that each book focuses on a different type of blend. The stories are interesting, cute artwork, and the perfect level for her reading. Not too easy, and not too long of sentences. I love that they include some activities in the back of the book for more literacy practice! Review: Another fantastic decodable set! - I started out using the first set of Charge Into Reading books (which reinforces short vowel sounds) with my son who is four. When he started to feel really confident reading from those, I ordered this set which introduces consonant blends. It has been really wonderful to have interesting decodable readers to go along with our homeschool reading instruction. I really appreciate that this are visually appealing and have interesting stories as they seem to hold my son’s attention and he actually gets excited to read them and do the additional activities in the back. I definitely recommend them for home or classroom learning!

Perfect
we are doing consanant blends & the way the have the books, first they teach the new new words, 2nd read the story & 3rd it works backwards with the words to teach spelling. My grandaughter thinks the last section is games but at 5 1/2 these boojs have been an amazing first step into reading. Ivplan on going all the way to the 10th set of books. The stories are kid friendly, they teach then reinfore the new words with a cute story & then turn into small "spelling" games. Icthink there are 6 or 7 pages of quick small sections to rwview & reinforce steps 1 & 2. I taught my son also& used mostly dr. suess but these are better. Buy em for you 4-6 yr olds & teach them young the joy of reading. My grandaughter gets excited at reading time. Hooked on phonics is good but slow paced. Itsgreat for learning the letter sounds & to start but my grandaughter was bored woth it. I ordered the 1st set of books & she loved them.

Fabulous Decodables!
These decodable books are a huge hit in my first grade classroom! They are colorful, engaging and truly decodable. My students are strengthening their skills while increasing their confidence as readers. I use them with individual students, small groups and the kids love to partner read with them as well. Highly recommend!

Love these books!
I am so glad I found the Charge Into Reading decodables! They're wonderful for my first grade students and really target the skill that the book focuses on. I also really enjoy the activities found at the end of the books to further practice the targeted skill. I'm looking forward to having all of the sets in my collection.

High Quality Decodable Books!
This is our second set of decodable books from Charge Into Reading. My 5 year old son loves reading these books! His confidence is growing as a reader because he has the skills to read every word. He really loved "The Bump," which had a very cute and surprising ending! I highly recommend these books.

Great extra practice.
I have been teaching first grade for 25 years and have been searching for books my students could read as they learned the code. I purchased this set to give it a try in my classroom. I am very impressed with the quality and the excellent use of the skills for each book. I have appreciated the extra practice these give my students with the sound spelling we are working on. There are also activities at the end of each book and word lists to practice at the front of the book. I went ahead and purchased enough sets for my small group instruction. Thank you so much for an excellent product.

Good for beginners
Books are amazing, challenging enough with some heavy sounds blendings, like Pam had a plot of land with plum 😂 but we enjoyed reading them

This decodable book helped my child go from guessing words to actually reading them. It was challenging enough to help them learn but not too hard to frustrate them.

Excellent decodable books for beginner readers. I love the story line and simple humour to tickle the young readers.
