cURus listing is for a component piece inside a UL listed item - gives me pause.
Great transformer maybe an issue I'm not comfortable withUnderwriters Laboratory Canadian and USA recognized cURus used for component products to be used inside other products - Seems like it should have a cULus label.makes me wonder what this is installed inside that is UL listed. Will be using this outside with some waterproofing and isolation in case of fire. From UL site:"The UL Recognized Component Mark means that the product has been tested as a component. These components will later be used in complete end-products or systems. Some additional installation precautions may be required. The devices covered under this category are incomplete in certain constructional features or restricted in performance capabilities and are intended for use as components of complete equipment submitted for investigation rather than for direct separate installation in the field. THE FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE COMPONENT IS DEPENDENT UPON ITS INSTALLATION AND USE IN COMPLETE EQUIPMENT SUBMITTED TO UL."

– Family Safe: “C RU US” Listed & Labeled electrical safety testing certification
– Family Safe: “C RU US” Listed & Labeled electrical safety testing certification Safety First - The most important thing is that this LED Driver 12 volt 60 watt IS SAFE to use in your home. It has electrical safety certification labels on the receptacle itself as required by NEC requirements.- I can use this ELECTRICALLY SAFE LED Driver 12 volt 60 watt and pass electrical inspection and keep my Home Owner’s Insurance valid. I often buy light fixtures, or electrical products, or Lithium Ion Batteries on Amazon where the website description does not bother to mention the electrical safety testing certification. I just assume that I will receive a product that is safe for my family. I am always surprised and dismayed when the light fixture, or electrical product, or Lithium Battery DOES NOT have an electrical safety test certification label. - For my moral values, to keep my family safe, to keep other families safe, for my liability insurance requirements, and to keep my Home Owner’s insurance valid, I only use or install ETL, or UL, or C RU US, or C RL US, or CSA, or TUV, or Triangle VDE, or Diamond VSE electrical safety certified and labeled electrical products in my own home and in other people’s homes or businesses. These electrical safety certifications are provided by third party electrical product safety testing laboratories that are independent from the manufacturer. - The CE label IS NOT a certification of independent laboratory electrical safety testing. The CE label is an UN-certified SELF-declaration scheme for marketing by the manufacturer. A product labeled with the CE mark DOES NOT have to be third party electrical safety certified to be marketed. - The UKCA label IS NOT a certification of independent laboratory electrical safety testing. The UKCA label is an UN-certified SELF-declaration scheme for marketing by the manufacturer. A product labeled with the UKCA mark DOES NOT have to be third party electrical safety certified to be marketed. - The Circle PSE label IS NOT a certification of independent laboratory electrical safety testing. The Circle PSE label is an UN-certified SELF-declaration scheme for marketing by the manufacturer. A product labeled with the Circle PSE mark DOES NOT have to be third party electrical safety certified to be marketed. - If you want your family to be safe and want your home owner’s insurance to remain valid you must only have electrical products that have independent laboratory electrical safety certifications showing that the product passed strict outside laboratory electrical safety testing.- I only purchased this LED Driver 12 volt 60 watt because the website claimed that it was Safety Certified and Labeled. If a product has passed the strict electrical safety testing by these laboratories then it must show that safety certification label on the product itself. There IS such an electrical safety certification label on this LED Driver 12 volt 60 watt. Please see the attached photographs. - Before installing an electrical device, the first thing an electrician does is to check for the electrical safety testing Laboratory Label Logo and Certification Listing number. - Ask your city’s electrical inspector if they will approve use of NON-safety certified and labeled electrical devices in your home; and then ask your professional licensed electrician if they will install UN-certified electrical devices; and then ask your home owner’s insurance agent if your home owner’s insurance will be valid if you install such NON-safety labeled electrical products. Of course, your home owner’s insurance agent will not inspect your home’s electric appliances until AFTER the fire, or electrocution, so that the insurance claim can be denied.
