Airaid Cold Air Intake System: Increased Horsepower, Superior Filtration: Compatible with 2010-2019 FORD/LINCOLN (Flex, Taurus SHO, MKT, MKS) AIR-451-260

The Product installed without a hitch in my 2010 Taurus SHO, so far I haven't had any trouble with it (had it for maybe 2 months). I noticed the tone of my engine is a little meaner, not by much though. I bought this mainly to have a reusable filter. I was attracted to this particular model because it's a dry filter. I don't like the idea of having to oil my filter since I hear it is very easy to over-oil them. I'd rather not be sucking in oil through my intake.

Over all it was easy to install took about 40 min. Helps with the throttle response and general turbo lag. It is less audible than I had hoped that is the only negative. But you can defenatly hear a difference with the windows down. It feels a little quicker normally and feels great in sport mode. Don't have any actual dyno numbers to support this feeling but from past experience with several other n/a cars and nitrous cars I am normally correct.

Wow. The throttle response is very much improved. I can't speak to any HP gain and too early to tell about any MPG change but worth it alone for the throttle response. Installation was very straight-forward with the only suggestion being that the weatherstripping that goes along the top edge of the box would be easier to install if a small channel was cut around the top and the weatherstripping could lock into that. The parts are of very high quality with the filter especially impressive.

I was impressed by the quality of the airbox. The only issue I had, which kept me from giving it 5 stars, is that the fit was too tight making installation difficult in my Flex. The airbox is literally right up against all surrounding surfaces. I can't say if this is an issue in the SHO or Lincoln models. Two things I did notice. There is an audible sound when the turbos kick in, which is nice. Also, on a recent 3000 miles road trip I averaged 1-3mpg higher than previous trips with the same high performance tune loaded.
