Organic Ethical Coffee How did you come up with the idea for this product? It all really started when Bodil noticed her friend packing coffee into her old Nespresso coffee capsules – she loved the simplicity of the process and the espresso she got at the end of it, but she just wasn’t happy with the quality of the coffee that she was drinking. From there, CRU Kafe was born. What’s the point in creating a fantastic machine and not putting fantastic coffee in it? So we started by sourcing the best coffee we could – making sure it was organic & ethical as well. What makes your product special? Our coffee is perfect for people looking for a genuinely speciality alternative to their usual Nespresso compatible pods. It’s not just the taste of our coffee that sets us apart, either; we make sure that each of the farms and cooperatives we work with put profits back into the communities and regions that support them – and make sure that none of them use any chemical on the land, or engage in aggressive farming practices. We want to create a modern, sustainable business. What has been the best part of your experience? It has to be the support from our customers – we’ve been going since 2014, and the amount of our customers that have stood alongside us through thick & thin has been truly humbling. We’ve got such a strong customer base under us now that we can rely on our customers to shape and grow the business as much as we do! Review: Lovely decaf. - I love the CRU coffee! Their lovely decaf is the best I have tried for nespresso. The dark roast is also tasty! Delivery was very quick and the price is decent. They aren't particularly cheap, but they are quality and you don't have to order hundreds at a time. Very pleased so far with the CRU experience. Review: Not as strong as I had hoped - I read somewhere that these pods were intensity 6, well I don't agree with this, I am using two at a time but this down to personal taste, apart from that the coffee has a nice flavour. Of course using two at a time makes a cup of coffee more expensive so I won't be buying them again.
