The Bottom Line: I am genuinely amazed at the sturdiness of these shelves for the price. It looks modern and sleek, feels rock solid, and freed up a massive amount of desk space in my room. What I Liked: Unbelievably Strong: This unit is incredibly robust. I wanted to move two of my printers off my desk, and they fit perfectly onto the lower shelves. I even have a heavy die-cut machine sitting on the top shelf, and the unit handles the weight with ease! Modern and Sleek: The black finish looks very smart, contemporary, and neat in a workspace. Quick Assembly: My husband found it very quick and easy to put together without any fuss. Effortless to Move: The wheels glide smoothly, making it simple to roll out of the way when I need to clear the floor. Incredible Value: I am so impressed with the quality for the price that I am about to buy a second one! Handy Setup Tip: When you build it, make sure you put the two lockable wheels at the front of the cart. This makes it incredibly easy to reach down and lock or unlock the unit when you want to move it around. Always keep the wheels locked if using printers on your cart so the cart stays completely still! How I Used It: I am currently using this unit in my summerhouse office and craft room. It has completely transformed my workspace by getting bulky tech off my main desk while keeping everything right at my fingertips.

These storage units are phenomenal in my opinion. They look good for what they are, if they look good in a living room or a storage room is down to personal preference, but the functionality is amazing. They are sturdy, easy to put together and are not ugly. I bought another brand wheeled storage unit before this, and it was so weak and badly designed in comparison to this one. This one was only £5 more at the time of purchase. Do not hesitate, if this is the type of storage unit you want, forget all the others and get this one. In response to some of the negative reviews about the clips not fitting properly. I agree they do not go all the way around the bar, but they sit inside of the holes in the shelves as the shelves go over the bars/legs. once pushed down evenly they sit snugly over these clips and the shelf is them secured and wont move.

This is a great storage unit. It was really easy to assemble. Can easily be moved around on its wheels. Bought one a few years ago, hard wearing, sturdy, very useful. So just bought a 2nd one.

Well-made, lightweight, sturdy once fully assembled and versatile - the shelves can be set at different heights and it can be used with or without wheels. Assembly is straightforward but, on my example at least, the deeper shelf edge which intuitively ought to be at the top to stop things falling off the shelf, is actually at the bottom: the mounting tubes at each corner are tapered so can only go one way up. This isn't too much of a problem unless you intend to store small things and so need to put a solid base on the shelf (the shelves are just a wire grid) and the available lip will be reduced accordingly. The grid nature of the shelf makes it awkward for anything under about 30mm in its shortest dimension. Such things have to placed across the grid to stop them falling through. For anything more substantial this isn't a problem. Overall it serves its intended purpose very well and looks good.

Easily assembled and sturdy. Shelves are configurable in many heights. Easily reconfigurable if you change your mind. If you want solid shelves other units are for sale, but a plywood, MDF etc shelf could easily be pinned to configure one or more of the shelves into a solid surface. Overall a very reasonably priced item that is quickly assembled. My only query would be why the zigzag formers end abruptly instead of marrying with the top & bottom side struts?

Cosmetically this is an improvement on the traditional peirced angle iron design. The paint was good and the locating ridges discrete. The tubular uprights are in two pieces and join with a strong threaded connector which is an improvement on the flimsy joiner of the angle iron type. Assembly is also relatively easy providing you read 🤓 and understand the instructions, every piece has a right way up. The unit is stable, even at the start of assembly with just one shelf and one upright and is very stable once all 4 uprights are fitted. A step stool may be required to fit the higher shelves. Take time fitting the locating collets, in the right locations they clip onto the tubular uprights and are then held captive by the shelf. If you have to force things you have not read the instructions; it literally drops together. The thread on the casters and feet is imperial 3/8 inch regular, 1/4" narrow, not 5mm as mentioned elsewhere. The Book Bat's review is a bit over the top but makes an important point. The collets when correctly fitted do not completely meet up but do interlock. After fitting a pair round the upright squeeze them together and rotate them to ensure the internal ridge is seated in a groove of the upright. When the shelf is installed the tapered bushes on the shelf compress the collets. If you understand the instructions it goes together like a dream, no need for any force. The result is surprisingly rigid. If you get it wrong it will not assemble⛔, full stop.

They are very useful, especially being able to move them. Quick and easy to assemble without tools (30 mins tops), shelves are adjustable in 1” increments, and they’re lightweight for moving around/moving house, but still strong. This one measures 59 x 34 x 82 cm, including the poles sticking up above top shelf. Don’t like that: didn’t notice that with the chrome one, the top shelf does not sit right at the top of the poles, but about 1 cm below (doesn't look to be the case with black one). This isn't a problem if you don't want to put anything larger than the shelf on the top, but my plant trays are slightly larger.. On the plus side, the shelves have 15 wires, whereas some only have 10, which makes these more stable and stronger. Mainly, the weight restrictions are due to the castors, in my view. On levelling feet, I can’t see these shelves breaking under even heavy loads. The castors are larger than on some others, 6 cm diameter. But the fastening bolts are still 5 mm diameter – too small to use standard castors as replacement, which is very annoying and a failing with most of these cheaper shelves. You can’t buy castors with anything smaller than 8 mm bolts anywhere, as far as I can see. Once a castor breaks, you can only use the feet, or replace the whole shelf (as I had to do with my previous one). I use these for plants/seed trays, and saw a few enquiries about wet/damp environments: outdoors/greenhouse/balcony/for plants etc. After buying, I realised that the black version is far more suitable for this, as plastic coated, so far less likely to rust. My chrome shelves are starting to rust in places – can be removed with elbow grease and WD40, but is work intensive. My black shelves, however, have not rusted at all . Would say the black ones are suitable for using in greenhouse/for plants/on covered balcony etc, but think outdoors they would probably still rust (at least eventually). At the moment these are not modular (or very adaptable - you can leave out one shelf with these 3 tiered ones), but easily could be: the plastic caps that sit at the top of the poles can be unscrewed on one of my other shelves (but not on these), and if the same size as the screw fitting between the pole sections (and for the bolts for feet/castors), these could be modular. Ideally, they’d also sell spare parts/extra shelves etc, but even without that, you’d have the option of combining multiple shelves of different heights, or splitting one large shelf maybe. You get one set of spare clips with these, btw, as with most of these shelves and I don’t think you can buy any other spares or extra shelves. But for this price, you can't really expect too much - even for double the price, you only get replaceable castors. If you want to be able to add shelves or other extras, or modify it, you've got to pay a lot more.. Overall, this is good quality for the money, and apart from the position of the top shelf, would be happy with it.

Ive become a superfan of amazon basics fpr the quality it delivers. These shelves come well packaged and comes also with all you need to install with a manual that is not confusing and even eith out manual it is easily DIY installable. The shining detail of it is that it comes with optional wheels that you can install to give you ease of mind while cleaning behind it or moving it to different place while keeping what on ghe shelves as it moves very sturdy and easily. I strongly recommend it

These turned out to be a really practical storage solution. The steel wire shelves feel solid, there are five levels to work with, and being able to adjust the height in small increments means very little space gets wasted between shelves. I also appreciate that Amazon supplies both caster wheels and levelling feet. With the feet fitted the load rating is seriously impressive, while the wheels are better if you want the flexibility to rearrange things or clean underneath. There are no bolts or complicated fittings to deal with during assembly. The shelf supports clip around the poles and each shelf slides down over them. Once assembled and loaded evenly the rack feels stable and substantial. I ended up buying three, which probably says more than anything else. They do exactly what I wanted and are a very handy way to add organised storage without installing permanent shelving.
