pretty cool thermometer, I can finally tell the temp of the food I am cooking again since losing my eyesight

I am legally blind and cannot read the little screens these things always have. I do have a smart meat probe that connects to my phone so I can use voice over with that, but that is a pain when I just want to check multiple temperatures quickly. This thermometer is simple and easy to use. There is an on button but it also turns on automatically when it is opened. One helpful thing would be if it beeped when it turned on so blind people know if it is on or off. As far as reading temperature, the voice is loud and clear and tells if the temp is in F or C. The only complaint, which is mentioned in other reviews, is that it does take some time for the temperature to reset. For example, if you something at 165.5 degrees, it will say 165.5 degrees for a while even if you remove the probe and wait a few seconds ith the probe in open air. You will eventually notice the temp fall every 5-10 seconds so you may need to wait 30s between temp checks, which could be a pain if you want to check multiple places on the same cut or multiple pieces in a row.

I'm blind and this talking meat thermometer is great! The speech is easy to understand, and, it takes a normal triple A battery instead of those little round batteries that I always seem to not have on hand when I need one. If you are blind or visually impaired, this would be a great addition to your kitchen!

When it works, it's not too bad but it's not great, either. The buttons are difficult to push because they are so small. The biggest problem I have is that it doesn't last. This one went for about nine months before it stopped talking. So now it's useless because I can't read. On the plus side, this one has lasted longer than the other ones I bought in the past. I wish I could find something else but it seems like this is the only game in town.

This thermometer is great for both The visually impaired and the sighted population. My husband uses it outside while he is barbecuing, instant read with a long skinny sensor. I am very visually impaired, and I use it to test my roasted turkey, to make Christmas fudge, and to make homemade ice cream. You have to make the custard first, specifically raise the temperature to 180°F. This thermometer is perfect for that. The buttons can be hard to push if your hands are slippery with food, so make sure your hands are clean and dry before you press them. A nice feature for me is that it will automatically turn off if I leave it sitting open. It is so easy to clean, just take a soapy washcloth and scrub it up, give it a wet wipe down, fold it, and store it securely in your drawer. It has a digital display for those who can read it, so they don't have to push the talk button. But for people with low vision, having the ability to announce the temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsius with a clear voice is a must. And, the batteries are easy to replace, not some strange size that's hard to find in the stores.

The buttons are small very difficult to push down and since I bought it because I don’t see well it was not very good. It did tell me the temperature of the meat but as a said buttons fiddly.

It does exactly what it says. It will do and works very well for what I needed it for, thank you from this legally blind guy who appreciates you making the products you do.

Nice thermometer, but the volume could be higher on the temperature readout. The display is nice and big and the light behind it makes it easy to see. If only the talking part was a bit louder it would be perfect
