I got above a 50% hatch rate with these. Better than expected with it being my first time hatching eggs from amazon. Would buy again.

I've been hatching chicken and guinea fowl eggs for 13 years and 'regular' coturnix for 1 year. I haven't haven't been this excited over watching to see eggs hatch in a long time. The eggs arrive a lot earlier than expected. They were very well packed. Out of 24 eggs, 14 hatched. This is above the 30% hatch rate for mail ordered eggs. So far, all 14 are very healthy and active (I do put 3-4 syringe full of colloidal silver in the base of the drinking water when ever I first hatch out eggs or buy baby chicks. I discovered that this saves me a lot of heartache and works better than antibiotics from the vet.). Out of the 10 that did not hatch, 1 had developed but did not pip and 9 did not develop. I did notice that 8/9 that did not develop were all in the same corner of the shipping box. The postal service must have dropped the box on that corner. I am very grateful that I had 14 hatch out. Last year the postal service mishandled some Cornish Cross chicks that I had ordered and they were dying as I opened the box. I am still traumatized over that. I appear to have a variety of babies that hatched including 3 Celadons. I would definitely order again.

None hatched, very disappointed. Not recommend!!

10 hatched out of 25 eggs total with multiple celadons in the batch. 2 died in infancy and I ended with 1 male and 7 females. The honestly are not the biggest quail you will get but decent for online shipping

This was a wonderful experience. Love these birds! Highly recommend this seller. I received 24 eggs, one never developed, and 16 hatched. So, that is not a bad hatch rate for a first timer in the middle of the Winter. The post office set the package on its side, of course. I let the eggs rest for about a day until they were room temperature. 4 didn't thrive for an unknown reason. I have 12 healthy, vibrant and sweet quail except for 4 of them. They are all 4 weeks and 4 days old now. All the sudden, when they turned 4 weeks the roosters became rambunctious. One of the Pharoahs was really hounding the rest of them actually pulling their back feathers out, latching on to them, and going for the eyes. I quarantined him. The next day, two of the Tuxedos started the same behaviors. Going for the eyes. They were placed in a side by side cage. This morning, the Italian went crazy and attacked every Tuxedo bloody. Right between the eyes. Must've done it just before I woke up. They had blood dripping. That Italian Jumbo is a real meany. I placed him in a set up next two the other two abusive Roosters and they all tried pecking at each other throw the cages. I think I have a lot of males and might have to give the egg hatching another shot to see if I can get more females and/or purchase female quail outright. What a learning experience. Thank you.

Eggs came in time.and in good condition. After I week incubation all were confirmed fertile. At 2nd week 19out of twenty eggs were moving. It’s was my first time incubating eggs so I didn’t know you could help the hatching process a bit. I lost 3 chicks to them not being able to hatch on their own. ISO went to YouTube for advice. I was successful for the most part so 12 chicks were able to hatch successfully. Because it was my first time, I severely underestimated the lack of intelligence of birds. In a span of a week I lost most of the birds from them smothering earth other and themselves , pecking at each other, and them just plain jumping and breaking their necks. These things are very fragile! At the 1st week after hatching only 3 survived. I was a bit disappointed in myself for not being prepared enough. This is now the 2nd week after hatching and the 3 survivors are still alive. I will call them The 3 Amigas! All 3 are females.
