It's 22cm wide, approximately 27th long and 5cm deep, I find it really useful and you can get quite a bit of stuff in it, handy zip pockets too.

I think it would suit your needs for the gym. I use mine to carry my iPad and a mobile wifi device in one of the small zipped compartments (they are very handy and secure). There is also a mesh pocket on the rear of the bag which I am sure you would find useful. It is very comfy to wear with an adjustable strap.I have used this bag for years and purchased a second one as a spare.

Q: I have 2 dogs, is it big enough to hold balls,spare leads, purse & mobile.

I'd say yes, couple of 'tennis' balls, couple of spare leads 'not the extendable ones - they'd be too bulky', my mobile 'iphone 5' fits in the very front pocket & yes to a medium size purse....there are also a couple of front pockets under the front flap so you could put poop bags & a few treats in there.
