Fantastic all rounder!!
I kind of bought these by accident as a gift for my daughter, thinking they were open back. I ordered some AKG 245s and planned to send these back. Well, no chance! I am keeping them! For the price, the sound is just incredible! They sound a lot like Audio Technica M50s, but with a slight v shape sound to them. However, they are much more comfortable than m50s for somebody like me with a more pointy than flat head. Light as a feather and the ear pads, although slightly small are so soft and squishy you can barely feel them! Like a feather light X2HR. Nice wide, immersive soundstage and they sound incredible for any music that suits that v shaped sound. At this price, they have absolutely no business sounding this good! Time will tell re the build quality. That wonderful lightweight property also translates to a flimsy build. Sit on these by accident and it will be game over. Are they perfect? No. Are they a perfect all rounder for general music listening? Possibly! I suspect I’ll be grabbing these more often than some I have that cost multiple times the price!

Outstanding gaming headset
Insanely good for the price, I currently own a pair of EPOS H6Pro headphones, hyperx alpha and steel series arctis , none of these will be used again after hearing the sound quality from the JT1's. I had read that these were bass heavy headphones I can categorically state they are not overly bassy there is more than enough to satisfy most people's low end requirements without it drowning out the mids or high end. What these headphones (these were initially only bought for gaming use however they're so good I've used them for standard musical listening and their equally as impressive) do is these open up the sound stage (impressive given they're closed back) when gaming ,I would recommend pairing them with something like a small external dac for example creative soundblaster X1 which adds an extra dimension of warmth and three dimensionality but nonetheless these are a stunning purchases for the money, I doubt all but the most clinical or critical listeners would be disappointed.

Great for the money but...
Great sound, ok build, light and fit perfectly on my "normal" head, no need to twist the frame like others have had to do. But let me compare them to to something that is twice the price... My other headphones ate DT770 Pros 80 Ohm, and have been using them everyday for 2+ years, I love them, a true classic "pro" budget headphone (in my eyes). I have moded them to have detachable cables and have repaired them a few times as they use dumb plastic fittings where the headphone cup attaches to the headband... Anyway. The JT1s are good, very good except, to my ears, slightly "boomy", but brighter than the DT770s, I feel the DT770s have much more control over all music types (which I would expect), the JT1s are fun and give a new (positive) flavour to music. The audio downs-sides could be that they still need more "running in" or that the light-weight build quality of the headphone cups need more internal dampening (a mod I will try at some point.). The other is the way the spring headband resonates, a slight tap and you can hear the springy sound and the plasticky sound of the cups. Both are fixable with a little ingenuity. My conclusion is: Sound - 4 star Value for money - 5+ Star If your on a tight budget, you can't go wrong with these, but if you can stretch your budget and can get a chance to listen to other headphones and see what you like the sound of. Remember no right or wrong answer, its about what you like!

Ideal replacement for a "gaming" headset at half the price
Why did you choose this product over others?: Chose these headphones to replace a "gaming" headset for use with my PC. The sound quality is way above what I've experienced previously, even with dedicated gaming headsets costing twice as much. The in-line microphone is very good and doesn't pick up much noise from my mechanical keyboard. Great price, the build quality is impressive, they even fit my large melon head comfortably.

Too Big For Average Head
I liked the ear cup size, fits over the ears nicely. Sound is bass-plenty. Fairly easy to drive. The problem was the clamping force is too low, the headphones do not stay in place when moving my head. I ain’t no pin-head, if anything my head size is above average. Shame about the fit as the sound wasn’t bad for the price. omwe

Instantly my goto set of cans...
Well done fiio. Great entry tier phones. Absolutely nothing wrong with these in any way. Formidable build. V comfortable. Excellent sound quality. Good drivers and a superb package with ok cable etc. I'm cursed to be an audiophile and music equipment junky and must say I'm very impressed with these cans, and can't believe Fiio managed to bring such quality to market at such an agreeable price.

Sweet headphone bliss
For the price it is - it punches WAY Above its weight! Very comfortable, PUNCH bass - solid mids and highs that wont leave you wondering why you hear it long after you have stopped the sound coming out. It is a LITTLE boomy for my tastes - this is great for gaming, movies and some music, but don't expect this to replace your higher end 'everything' headphone. Its made for a bit more of a bass head. Not so great for mixing music, or doing audio work. The headband could use a little tweaking as I feel it is a little loose for my head. The metal headband pings if you accidentally brush it so that often leads me to waiting for it to calm down or have to readjust my head a little from my seat cushion.

Absolutely insane value
Stupidly fun pair of cans. For under a 100 the build quality is excellent and the comfort is top notch. They aren't accurate and the soundstage isn't wide, but you have to make compromises in this price bracket. You'd think the cable would be one of them, but it's a nicer cable than comes with most 300 dollar headphones. Detachable too, and with easily replaceable pads. Honestly, I am hard pressed to recommend anything else for under 100.

Quede completamente asombrado.

Confusing brashness, clarity, sharp tones with harshness
update: It broke twice. The wires that holds the streachable headband are simply crimped and the crimped end hangs around a peg within the headband/headpad box; the other end of the wire loop are attached to an elastic within the headpad. I think this is a design flaw because even if you re-crimp the wires firmly, they tend to pull themselves out sooner or later. My fix is to crimp further into the wire and bend the ends around the metal crimpp. Hopefully this will hold. It requires 3 hands to hold everything together and a 4th hand to insert the screw and tighten. However since everything is put together with screws, everything is fixable. update: I have found myself enjoying the JT1 as the first choice amongst all my headphones. It turns out that harshness that originally hurts my ears was clarity and brassiness. After the initial break in, the mids and highs were ultra clear. I cannot go back to the sennheiser 660s anymore because of the lack of mids and highs. I have switch back to Tidal and using my KA3 via usbc instead of my btr7. Even the BTR7 via USBc isn't as clear as the KA3 with the JT1. This is a wonderful headphone once you get use to clarity. Combine this with Tidal and you have a great match. Original review: You know sometimes I think Z reviews is either wrong about these headphones or there has a been a change. For the last half hour I have been switching beteen 3 headphones, the Thieoaudio Ghost, the Sennheiser 660s and these headphones and I tell you the sound quality is very harsh and raspy and I'm listening through a BTR7 lossless. Not clear at all. I kid you not. Maybe we need to burn the headphones in, no idea... For the first time in my life of buying headphones these might be the first time I return a pair for sounding bad. however one thing is interesting... my 660s and theiaudio ghost both sound dark and muddy now when compared to the JT1 which has hasher raspy mids and highs.... what gives.... burning in....
