This is one of my favorite clean protein options — made from grass-fed beef, no dairy, no gluten, and the salted caramel flavor is surprisingly smooth and delicious. It blends well with hot or cold drinks usually with my king coffe IYKYK it is freaking delicious and doesn’t upset my digestion. Perfect for my paleo-ish, high-protein routine!

I did a ton of reviews and I follow reputable people that swear by Prime Protein. I finally decided to try and couldn't decide between the Salted Carmel or Chocolate. Chocolate receives more reviews, that should of been a clue. I purchased the Salted Carmel and it taste ok but not the best. The worst part is it will not dissolve in hot or cold liquid. IT IS A CLUMPY DISGUSTING MESS! In the garbage it went and now I'm out $60. Scared to try again!

Equip protein is THE best! It dissolves well and has great flavor, just like a decadent dessert, but packed with clean protein. Love mixing with a little coffee, whole milk, and ice for an afternoon frappe. If you’re looking for a clean protein, this is it!

I have been looking for a protein powder that is not whey and grass fed beef. Love the salted caramel flavor (it is great as a protein coffee) and the vanilla. I use a frother to help blend it or a ninja blender to help. It makes it frothy and smooth. My husband uses a mixing bottle and there does tend to be clumps (which he does not mind, but I do). So keep that in mind when making it.

I love Equip Prime Protein (I have strawberry and chocolate). For sure there is a certain flavor that isn’t “beef” but is unique… Inlive the health benefits of the Grass fed beef protein though, so I have learned to not care. HOWEVER! When I opened the salted caramel bag there is definitely a chemically smell that must be whatever flavoring is used to make it “salted caramel”. Very off putting the first time, but I thought I would try it again. Opened the bag again and was blown away by the smell. Since most of us getting this product are looking for a clean product, I would opt for a different flavor.. there is something definitely off about the salted caramel!

This review is Specifically for the salted caramel flavor. It is AWFUL. Tastes horrid, is extremely sticky, and does not mix well. I even use a milk frother thing to adequately mix it and it’s so clumpy and foamy. Now, I have also tried the mint chocolate flavor and that one is 10x better. It tastes great and I have no issues at all with mixing. I’m not sure why the two flavors have such a a different consistency and aftertaste but they do. I just repurchased the mint chocolate and will likely throw the rest of this salted caramel away.. it’s that bad. Salted caramel = 1 star Mint Chocolate = 5 stars.

I was looking for clean animal protein I could use when I'm in a rush or tired of cooking all the time. I'm happy with the clean ingredients in this. It's not too sweet, which I'm really happy about. Most protein powders are. I went to the company website first to buy this, but the only options available on their website, which look like the exact same products, included coconut sugar and had higher carb counts. So I looked here, and found this, which has fewer ingredients and is sweetened only with stevia. That was confusing, but I'm glad I found these totally sugar free versions. I stay away from cow dairy and plant milks, which means I just mix protein powders w/water. I find it's better to just use a minimal amount of water and make a pudding, instead of trying to make something that mixes well enough to drink. This product in particular is difficult to mix w/water. I mixed it w/a fork and it was still pretty gloopy, but ok to eat. It might mix better with milk and some kind of mixer. It does have a bit of a weird beefy taste to it when just mixed w/a little bit of water, but even then it's not too bad. I tried it another time mixing a resistant starch supplement into it before mixing it with water. That helped both with the mixability and the taste. It was really quite good that way. I'm sure if you used milk of some kind, that would hide the taste and probably mix better. Nutritionally, I'm very happy with this and I will use it in a pinch when I don't want to take the time to cook something. There's only so much you can do to make animal protein like this taste delicious and produce the desired texture when mixed, so I think it's a good product and I'm overall happy with this. I will experiment over time w/different ways to prep it. It is very sticky if you get it around your lips or on anything while mixing it. That's a little annoying, but lets me know this has more of the animal in the mix than just collagen, and that's a good thing.

The taste is unmatched. It doesn’t have that whey protein flavor. It doesn’t hurt my stomach. It has clean ingredients. My only complaint is it clumps so you have to blend it or make sure you throughly mix it with a coffee frother! But it’s because it doesn’t have bad ingredients that prevent clumping.
