Was good for the price

Used it with the strips that came with it and all was fine, went to use the extra strips (both packs) and it stopped taking a reading so can only presume defective strips, literally used 10 times and now have to either return, buy more strips, or throw away, don't waste your money!

I believe I can give a reliable review of this device because I use it in conjunction with another, costing twice as much. I do this in order to verify, as far as is reasonably possible, the accuracy of the readings given by both. So far the readings I have obtained from each device have been quite closely comparable, which I find re-assuring. Like most devices of this type the initial set up is tricky, but once done it is simple to operate. It's readings are displayed clearly and quickly and it is particularly helpful that the test strips re-act to very small blood samples. This device seems to be very good value for anyone wishing to be able to get simple blood sugar readings without too much fuss.
