The Spiritual Teachings of Ramana Maharshi (Shambhala Pocket Library)

Lots of good wisdom given in this book, worth spending time with and is one of the best of sages from India. The book arrived very promptly as well, seller recommended.

This is the only book you need.

I've been reading this collection of questions and answers repeatedly for the last 12 years. I have lots of other books in a similar format but find that this is my favourite. I'm unconcerned by whom and when the teachings were recorded and the intended recipient. It's simply the purity of the spiritual message and the staggering insight of Ramana's mind that appeals to me. All his teachings in any book available are superb, but this is the copy I continuously return to.

The great problem with this edition is that there is, all the way through the book, absolutely no mention of which texts where translated? Under which circumstances were they taught? and to whom?, how did the editors require them?, who translated them? Could go on like this forever! A completely nonscientific mumbojumbo rendering of otherwise perfect and complete teachings. Any other alternative would be better so may i recommend that you by one of those.

Spiritual Teaching of Sri Ramana Maharshi is an excellent book, so easy to pick up and find the page that will give you the grace and guidance in such a compassionate manner.

I’ve come a long way in order to actually be able to read and understand this book. The language is simple and the style is a dialogue. You can easily imagine yourself asking this question of this realized guru.
