Best gloves ever
Second time purchasing these... Keep hands super warm, love the wrist guard insert, highly recommended!!

there is no skid plate and there is no splint
These are quality gloves have a lot of features, and they're warm. But the safety isn't what I need. To be fair I'm not snowboarding with them and falling on snow and ice. I'm commuting on streets and sidewalks on powered micro-mobility, an electric unicycle, so I want warm hands and I want protection if I ever fall. So-- the photo shows hard plastic and a metal stud in the palm which would slip on pavement. That's actually a cut-away. In fact the palm is finished with a rubbery grip, that's great for grasping but if you fall it will grab the pavement. And there's no splint behind the wrist for what happens next when the palm sticks to the pavement, in this glove my hand is able to flex backward without limit.

I would recommend
I would recommend these to anyone just starting to learn to snowboard. I had previously broken my wrist and had surgery. I wanted these for extra support. You can not feel The wrist guards inside the gloves not can you tell that they have them in from the outside. They are warm and soft inside and you can easily put your boots in your bindings while wearing them. I ordered the XS and they fit great. I am a petite size. They have a Velcro tightener on the outside front wrist of the gloves that keeps them nice and secure.

Great gloves
The first thing I noticed about these gloves is how nimble my hands remain while wearing them. I used to wear skateboarder wrist guards, but changing to the Level gloves got rid of not just the bulk but also made getting ready quite a bit faster. Moreover, the gloves seems really durable to me. While I cannot speak to their customer service, I have experienced a few falls while wearing these gloves, no hint of cracks or defect at all after about a year of wearing them. my wrist also felt as secure as when I wore my dedicated wrist guards. If there is one complaint I have about the Fly gloves is they are not as water proof as I would like them to be. my previous pair was Burton Gortex mittens, and kept me significantly drier over the whole day than this pair did. so the XCR gloves maybe a better choice if you value that.Nevertheless, the durability, strength, and nimbleness of the gloves was well worth the switch for me, highly recommended!

Great design, but cheap velcro this time around
Grest product. My last pair I had for 11 years. These seem just as good. Have saved my wrists many times, will not ride without.Update -The quality of the velcro on this new pair purchased in 2014 is awful. If you know these gloves, you know that the entire safety feature depends on that velcro cuff remaining closed when you land. The velcro began to wear out after a few days on the hill. Xsports protective imediately gave me half my purchase price but could not offer me better velcro.Ended up paying a shoemaker to stitch on industrial velcro from the Hardware store. $20/per glove and he did a great job but now even the hardware store velcro is wearing out. It is hard to find quality velcro that holds up to moisture and repeated use.Pain in the a--, just because they want to lower their production cost while raising their price.Just make a good product and people will pay for it, why it that so hard for companies to comprehend?

Great glove, warm, durable, easy to operate
Okay first of all if your wondering (like I was), no the gloves do not come with an outer piece of the glove missing like in the picture lol! Great quality glove, the wristguard is comfortable in every way, nice fit, fingertips have extra material for dragging your fingers along the snow when your shreddin your line, great gloves no broken wrists!

Gloves are excellent and top notch quality
Gloves are excellent and top notch quality, my only complaint is that the rubber straps that should keep the wrist guards in place are almost too small for the size of the glove. The gloves were L but the guards more like a medium, so they put too much pressure on my hands and made putting the globes on and off a little bit of extra work. But the quality and construction of the globes is great.

Thank God I got these gloves. Finally I do ...
Thank God I got these gloves. Finally I do not need to have a wrist guard and gloves separate. Its much easier to take off and grab my phone for a quick photo. They definitely keep me warm and well protected. It does the job perfectly.

Really comfortable and warm gloves. Offer great protection for wrist/arm
I bought these gloves for my first snowboarding experience. Most importantly I did not break by wrist or arm! They are very bulky but that is by design. They have an inner glove, the wrist support and the outer gloves. They are very comfortable to wear. Instructions could be better but I figured it out in the end!

Wrist protection failed due to poor design of, and poor quality of, wrist strap
The high price of these gloves is due to the wrist protection. The wrist protection requires that the biomex plastic is tightly fastened to the wrist. Firstly, the strap is located too close to the palm to secure it in place. Secondly, the strap broke when using the gloves for a second time. The gloves are otherwise warm, comfortable and waterproof

The Perfect Gloves for back-country and general riding.
Perfect gloves! Replaced my original pair of these after 20 years and hope these last as long. Comfortable, warm, protective and hard-wearing.
