These safety pins are huge. The gold ones are pretty. Some have little burrs on the tips which are easily filed off with a nail buffer. These are definitely strong.

I use them as fashion pieces and to close my sweaters... I love em!!

I finally caved and ordered these and I'm so glad that I did. For years I've been counting on larger safety pins to do a much bigger job than they are equipped to do. You get a crazy amount of pins in this order, with two different sizes. These are really nice, they look great so if you are planning on using them for something that will have them "exposed" rest assured that the design is nice and unobtrusive.The make of these is really nice and sturdy. They are quality pieces that I feel confident will last a while!

They’re well made and are what they’re meant to be. The only thing is I was hoping the tips were not as blunted as they are. They’re not made to penetrate anything without a hole already made. I had to take a file and sharpen them to use them the way I wanted. I probably would have been better getting the next size smaller or closer to 4”. If you need this size and don’t need them sharp these are perfect.

I'm not doing anything fancy (yet) with these assorted pins, but the main thing I need them for is pinning up my skirts. I only wear dresses and skirts and sometimes they get in the way. Like on stairs. Ever stepped on the front of your skirt and end up with it around your ankles? I don't any more, lol.I haven't figured out how to bead the pins yet, but I will!

These pins worked perfectly for me while knitting a blanket on a loom in keeping the body rolled up for ease in knitting.

I tried using one of these on a shirt and it is very difficult to push through the material. I forced it and it tore the threads leaving a hole in the material. These safety pins are very well made and would be a good value for crocheted or loose weave material. Take heed of all the reviews that mention the dull points.

What I like about this oversized gold pin is that it can be used for assorted reasons and decorations.
