Grandchildren, love this Bible
This book offers biblical stories for young children. It is well grounded theologically. It’s illustrations will attract children and help to keep their attention. My grandchildren love this book.

Frolic Bible Babies
There is so much to love about Frolic Bible Babies! From the cover art to every page, this board book draws in the reader immediately with bright colors, well-drawn faces, and engaging backgrounds. This little book covers the lives of four babies found in Scripture: Isaac, Moses, Samuel, and Jesus. Each story is told simply and in a way that tells about how special each one of these babies is to God, and how every baby and toddler hearing these stories, seeing these pictures, and interacting with this book will discover that they are special to God as well. Some of the art is taken from the Frolic First Faith Storybook Bible. While the stories may be repeated here as well, the emphasis in this board book is on these specific babies. A little extra time is taken on Jesus to show that Jesus is God and loves everyone. One other important facet to this particular board book, and why I highly recommend it, is that the Biblical figures are drawn here with attention to how they might have actually appeared in history, and not as European, blond-haired and blue-eyed individuals. This accurate representation of these characters not only grounds them further in history, but also helps kids from around the world to know that they can see babies like themselves in the stories of Scripture. This is a great board book addition to any home or church nursery!

Looked all over for a Bible without all-Caucasian characters
We’re an ethnically diverse family, and I wanted something for my one year old where the characters in the pictures weren’t all white people. (I’m the white person in my family so I can say this... don’t judge me.) I’m so glad I found this. I hesitate to call it a “Bible” because it’s sinplified bible stories for kiddos. It’s most certainly only the bare bones and basics of 40 stories. But it works well for nighttime bible story reading before bed or whenever. My son loves it and pulls it around the room and looks at the pictures. The illustrations are very well done. The majority of characters are brown. Browner than any other children’s bible I’ve seen. We love it. Pages are sturdy too and can withstand some abuse which was also a big deal for me when I was looking. Will likely get the Frolic Preschool Bible next when we go up an age level. Very satisfied.

An excellent introduction to the Bible for toddlers
I would recommend this book for toddlers up to about the age of 5. The drawings are excellent. It's refreshing to see that the people of Palestine were not all Scandinavian in biblical days. Each layout presents a Biblical scene, from the Old or New Testament. The words are very simple and end with a little thought to apply the story to our own lives. (I gave the book to my goddaughter, so I don't have it at hand to quote an example.)The book skips over all unpleasant or scary ideas, which makes some of the stories puzzling or confusing. For example, baby Moses is floating in a little basket in the river. Pharaoh's daughter finds him. His sister Miriam offers to find someone to care for him and takes him to their mother, where he will be safe. I can see a child asking, "Who put him in the river? Why? How is he going to be safe? From what? Will his mother put him in the river again?" I would suggest that parents add their own explanations, to give a little more context. They know how much scariness their kids can handle.Edit after two months of use.=======================The binding of this book is very delicate and even light handling by a toddler is apt to cause the cover to come off. Only a thin piece of paper holds the covers to the binding. I had to completely rebind the book, using heavy tape which I hope will make it more durable. However, the tape covers part of the text on the cover and the book no longer opens flat.

Awesome first bible!
Great little bible, teaches some of the most well known stories for children in board book style. Almost every story fits on two pages. The stories are very brief, and end with a lesson or moral. I would say this is good for toddler through preschool age. I love that the illustrator chose to draw the people in all shades. I actually searched high and low for a bible like this. Now, some people don’t like that it’s kind of “cartoony” (big eyes, little bodies, etc) looking, and I didn’t really like it at first. But I realized that that look appeals to children more than a more realistic picture. So I actually like that they’re “cartoony” now, cause my son is more interested. I really like the simplicity for young children, the lessons at the end, and the illustrations. Definitely get it!

Why is this book now $20???
I love this book. I have bought multiple copies for gifts. My littles loved it. But why in the world is it now $20?? For a Board Book? What in the world. I logged in to order another one, and I guess I'll have to find a different go-to now. :( Board Books are supposed to be under $10. I think I paid $6.99 for this not too long ago.

Friendly for ethnic and multicultural families
We are a multiethnic family and I’m sensitive to my little one feeling normalized in the books, media and culture he takes in. This kids bible does a great organic job of reflecting the characters of diverse ethnicities, likely a bit closer to what they may have been like in real life. It’s the only kid’s bible I’ve seen that does that. Thank you!
