Great sonic screwdriver, but quality may differ greatly from product to product.
When I received this sonic screwdriver, it arrived in a bad state, with damage covering large areas of it, there were also very loose parts causing constant rattling and the packaging it was in was badly ripped. However I decided to refund my order and buy another in the hopes that I got very unlucky with the first order and I'm happy to say that the new one I received is much better. Great sounds, lights and design with nothing bad about it whatsover, very happy.

A Perfect Replica of a Perfect Sonic - The Best, (in my opinion)
A fantastic toy/replica for a Sonic that was far too under appreciated. (Being only in one season of the show people didn’t have time to grow to love it like I do - but I’d say it’s the last great sonic! As the next few were… interesting!)Functionality is great, push up for green, down for blue. Push up twice for green pulsing and push down twice for blue ‘chasing’. It emits a different effect based on each of these. In terms of brightness the sonic is very clearly illuminated, you can see it and it’s a striking look in green or blue, it it’s not bright enough to use as a torch for instance.Sound quality could be a little better, but it’s not too loud (like some later releases!) and it can get a little repetitive. The paint applications on this are perfect, literally spot on. Nick Robarto who has made props for Doctor who and made every sonic since Series 2 (2006!) was tasked with designing a sonic for the Twelfth Doctor, having all other designs be given to him to make. When he made this sonic he sent 2 copies of it to Character Options, one painted so they could match the colours perfectly, the other unpainted so they could 3D scan it to ensure this isn’t just a lookalike - it’s a prop replica in a 1:1 ratio, the same size as the on screen prop with all the same effects. The sonic is powered by 3 button cell batteries which are cleverly hidden. You change them by gently twisting the handle and pulling it off - exposing the battery compartment, you need a standard screwdriver to get in there but it’s easy enough. This is a sonic that is just cool to play about with, you can see the cool way Peter Capaldi used it - being able to “scan” things sideways with its additional 4 emitters or point it like a wand. This is a masterpiece of a sonic and one I’ll forever treasure. Designed by a genius. The only thing you need to be wary about is the sudden flood of fakes that have reached the market, these often offer extra modes but the build quality and longevity of them is unknown. The one I got from here was genuine and is loved.Peter is a phenomenal actor, and this sonic suited his style of acting perfectly - he didn’t need a flicking sonic as he wasn’t a flamboyant handsy doctor - but the multiple modes show just how cool this thing is. Nick Robarto outdid himself with this one and it shows. This sonic is a piece of history, from my favourite Doctor - that I’m proud to own as very few of these were initially released.

Green setting Sound cuts out for a second and replays
This is a decent sonic screwdriver. Now I don't know if its the same for anyone else but with the green setting I can hear it stop and replay the sound for a second. It did come a bit scratched but nothing too noticeable. The bottom of the sonic screwdriver could be a bit tighter because you can hear a rattle but it wont come off unless you try. I think for the price it could be a bit cheaper.

Fantastic
I could never get the original release in 2017, so as soon as I discovered this re release I was straight on it.The colours are close enough, the sounds are fantastic, the light effects are spot on (and more accurate to their on screen portrayal) and there's no major build quality issues besides a minor rattle/wobble, but it is a toy. If you love Capaldi as much as I do just get it 😅 it's cheaper than trying to get the original release and faaaar cheaper than the replicas. And if you really care about the fine details a repaint would make it nearly spot on to the screen used prop as the mold for this toy was scanned 1 to 1 from the original sonic. It's a gorgeous piece of kit and I'm so glad I own one now

It's basically plastic so it's not as heavy as it should be to feel realistic
Also, in some of the settings there is a pause in the sound bit so you can hear it looping when you keep it running. You can sort of figure out the loop in the other settings, too, but at least it doesn't actually pause. So, yeah, it's a bit cheap and disappointing but it's still good as a costume prop because it looks alright in photos.

Good sonic
I bought this as my CO toy broke, it’s a great sonic it is slight different than character options, and the electronics are different and louder but you don’t seem to recognise it after a while, I’d definitely buy this instead of spending £60+ on a second hand CO toy
