Yes and no. You can make soda in a whipping siphon with these. You can not make whipped cream. Use N02 for foams, etc

I am considering buying a soda siphon. About how much soda will one cartridge make?

I bought a 2 quart soda siphon for a friend, and he uses it mainly for scotch and soda cocktails. He absolutely loves it. However, the 2 quart siphon requires that you use two chargers instead of one--the one qt. only needs one charger. Since the 2 qt. siphon is 64 oz., I assumed it made 64 oz. of club soda (fizzy water). However, he says that there is a fill line, so you probably get a couple of ounces less than 64 oz. with each new fill. He likes a lot of soda in his scotch, so by the time he adds ice to the scotch in a tall glass, and approximately 4-5 oz. of club soda, he thinks he gets a dozen or so drinks, which sounds pretty good to me. So, it depends on how much you drink per glass. If you are drinking it simply as "water," I would think you would get approximately 8 eight oz. glasses (less a couple of ounces that account for the fill line). He does recommend that you get the 2 qt. siphon, since it can be a pain in the neck to fill it every day. Hopes this helps!

Leaves cream with strong metallic taste

We have used these cartridges for many years and been extremely happy with them. But now the new ones are awful, allowing gas to escape into the cream and giving it a strong metallic taste. The only difference we see between the new bad chargers and the old wonderful ones is that the new ones are "environmentally correct", with a green dot on the box. So our morning fruit can no longer be covered in wonderful whipped cream from our isi canister. Very upsetting!

Excellent product

These cartridges cost a little more than some other brands, but in my experience, they are worth it, because I cannot detect any unexplained taste. While the others provide very good pressure, they sometimes seem to leave an unpleasant taste.

Do NOT buy!!!

I would give zero stars if I could. These cartridges used with an iSi profi whip dispenser leave a horrible metallic taste in the food. We washed everything multiple times thinking it was a residue in the dispenser, but that wasn’t the case. I wish these were returnable so I could get my money back. Do NOT buy this product.
