5 Stars โ Punches Well Above Its Price Point
I purchased this PSU to replace the stock Dell OEM power supply in an Inspiron 3471 small form factor build that I was upgrading beyond its original specifications. The stock Dell PSU simply couldn't handle the new component load so an external PSU solution was necessary. The Dell Compatibility Factor Anyone who has worked with Dell small form factor machines knows that Dell is notoriously unfriendly with aftermarket parts. Proprietary connectors, locked BIOS settings, and OEM specific power delivery designs make upgrades challenging. This PSU bypassed all of that entirely by running externally, delivering clean standard ATX power without any of Dell's proprietary restrictions getting in the way. The Build Running an i9-9900 processor, MSI RTX 3050 Low Profile 6GB, a 2TB NVMe SSD on a PCIe adapter, two SATA drives, and an Arctic P8 Max CPU fan. This is a significantly more demanding load than this chassis was originally designed for. Performance Zero stability issues under sustained gaming load. Running demanding titles including Pragmata, Death Stranding 2, Marvel Rivals, and the Resident Evil series without a single power related issue. Voltage delivery is clean and consistent as confirmed through HWiNFO64 monitoring during extended gaming sessions. 80 Plus Bronze Certification Efficiency is solid. No excessive heat generation from the PSU itself even during extended gaming sessions. Build Quality Solid construction, clean cable management options, and reliable performance throughout testing. The non-modular design means extra cables but that's expected at this price point. Bottom Line For the price this PSU delivers reliable clean power for a demanding small form factor build. If you need an affordable reliable PSU that handles real gaming workloads without Dell's proprietary restrictions getting in the way the AGV500 delivers exactly that.

Fantastic bang for buck psu for lower power builds.
***Update*** The original system has been rebuilt a couple times, now it has a 3060 12gb gpu in it, still crankin along. I've purchased several more of these psu's and they just perform. I just built another core i3 12100F with a 3050 6gb gpu and the psu barely gets warm. I've purchased 4 in total from this brand now. Till I can find a reason to spend more for the same thing, I'm gonna be buying these. Solid psu for systems that don't need a ton of power. I just built a core i3 12100F with a 1060ti 6g, 512gb nvme, couple case fans, this is just a bench system. It "can" do some 1080p gaming but that's not it's job. I dropped Redhat 8 on a 256gb nvme that I will swap back and forth as I need the OS. I ran stress-ng for 3hrs at full tilt boogey and this little box just rocked it. I wanted to test everything, make sure the motherboard was going to hold up, I got the cpu second hand, and also the gpu. I read a number of other reviewers claim scary smells coming from their psu's so I hoped to hammer this thing and see if I could stress it beyond it's capabilities. I didn't have any complaints from any of this hardware. The psu performed perfectly. I can't complain one bit, 80+ Bronze? less than $40? I mean, what's not to love? If you right-size your psu for your system you should be golden. My system according to pcpartspicker should draw about 288w. That makes this psu the perfect sweet spot. I liked it so much that I purchased the bigger brother the 850w fully modular version and I'm currently stress testing that system and its not even breaking a sweat. I'm very pleased with this psu. I might have found my new favorite psu brand.

Fan noise is very quiet. Very good product.
Cables should have colors to identify polarity.

A great power supply so far
The price was unbeatable. I ordered at 10:00AM and is was delivered before 10:00pm on the same day. The unit was well packaged and came with a power cord. When I plugged it in, it worked immediately. When I first started to go to some web pages I heard the power supply spinning up and thought "What the heck?" After 5 minutes everything settled down and the power supply has been rock solid for the 3 days I have had it. There are a lot of cables so if you like a tidy computer, you have work to do. For twice the price you can get the 850w modular power supply (you pick what cables you attach). I was only 80 percent sure it was the power supply and not something else, so I went with the quick and inexpensive option. (People have occasionally written online that the power button assembly was bad on their unit). For me, the power supply was the issue and this solved the issue. This power supply has everything that you need. If you are using it in a Dell with a dvd drive you will require a simple SATA to MSATA (four pin) connector. This runs 6 dollars on Amazon. All and all, this is a great power supply. If you need more power you can get the 850w modular power supply and have less cable mess and more power for higher end graphics cards.
