Looks pretty, but just as tough any other ZT
The 0462 is Zero Tolerance purchase # 17 for me, that is, it is the most recently purchased model of the 17 ZT knives I own. I really love ZTs: people can argue over how much they like or dislike particular designs, you can always buy a ZT and be confident you will get a top-quality knife made with premium materials, ultra-fine tolerances, and the smoothest blade action of any production knife in the world. The reason thr 0462 was my 17 ZT and not my first, second, or third was that I was always a little skeptical about the design. It's a big knife, and the combination of the curved handled and upswept blade made me wonder if perhaps it was more of a "show knife" vs a knife that could be used for hard work. And it is a show knife, if that's what you want it for--that big, satin, Persian style blade looks amazing with the red carbon fiber. But I should have remembered that if it was a ZT it was going to be more than solid enough for hard use, and it most definitely is. Despite its somewhat delicate appearance, this knife is solid enough to handle whatever (non-prying or striking) jobs you want to thow at it. Secondly, like most knives whose handles are a combination of a titanium or steel frame lock on one side, and a carbon fiber scale on the other, this knife would not be good for lefties. This is because of the slightly imbalanced weight; the carbon scale is noticeably lighter, despite milled and chamfered pockets inside the titanium scale to reduce its weight (a nice, custom-style sort of detail, and the ZT logo is etched in there as well). The uneven weight causes the knife to want to push a little to the right, and if it's held in the right hand this is a good thing because the knife is literally leaning in towards the hand holding it, making it sit more securely. Conversely, if held in the left hand the effect means the knife will by trying to lean away from the hand, making it harder to hold onto. The effect isn't huge but it is noticeable, and for that reason not recommended for left-handed people. For we non-sinister, dexterous 90% however, this is an outstanding knife, whether you plan to beat it up or just admire it as a piece of sharp art. A couple of things to note about the 0462: the action is so smooth that the blade can easiy drop shut with enough force to slice fingers. The attached video is a demonstration of the remarkable action, and the green bandage.wraps on my fingers are so they don't get sliced off as I tried to film with one hand and eye, and work the knife with the others.

Wow. Very nice looking, top notch quality.
This is a very nice knife. The carbon fiber handle is stunning to look at in the sun. The whole knife just oozes quality. Solid when open. Centered when closed. Buttery smooth action. Edge grind is even. Blade detent is good, not gonna go anywhere. Is very light weight for its size. Is a beautiful looking knife design with its curved handle and upswept blade. The s20v steel is beautiful to look at and is a top notch performer. And of course it's hair shaving sharp. Is my first ZT amongst plenty of Benchmades, Spydercos, Kizers, Cold Steels, CRKTs, SOGs, and others. Is my most expensive knife to date, but we'll worth it. I barely even carry it due to it is so nice.

Drop shut, smooth and beautiful design
Easily the smoothest bearing action ZT I own out of a 0470, 0393glcf, 0562ti, 0452rdbw and 0456. I bought this just to look at and handle more than anything. It's a beautiful design that I decided I needed to have before it's discontinued as I feel it probably will be soon. It's got a drop shut glass action. The detent is perfect for the flipper size and blade weight. The red weave carbon is darker in person and looks like a maroon or burgundy which is nice. The TI is machined well and has lots of relief cuts in it so it doesn't weight much for its size. Two bad things the clip is absolute garbage must be replaced and the blade geometry isn't the best, its a little thick. It really needs a full flat grind or a deep hollow to make it a better cutting tool. Overall an amazing knife for the money.

Sharp physically and visually!
This blade is a fairly lengthy blade with an extremely aggressive profile when locked out. Sinkevich has really outdone himself with this 0462, the blade is sharp, long but slim enough to not be irritating while using as an EDC. You might get some looks here and there when using it but this knife has exquisite craftsmanship from the titanium and red carbon fiber handle to the sharp blade and looks. Flicks out extremely quick and can close itself if you wiggle it a bit because of the bearings of the blade. It is larger than most of my knives but it is also lighter because the titanium is milled out and the carbon fiber really aid in its lightweight build.

Nearly Great
The knife is fantastic, BUT unless I grip just right, it is unreasonably tough to deploy. It is made in the USA out of premium materials, with outstanding workmanship. The size to weight ratio is unreal, making it a pleasure to carry and handle. Once opened, it is a joy to use. BUT -opening the knife can be good or really, really frustrating depending on the moment. For perspective, this is the second one I ordered, as I sent back the first one back. It was even worse. And this is far from my first knife. Having used Spydercos, Benchmades, Chris Reeves ... and other ZTs, I don’t feel this is an issue of user error.

Extremely High Quality Knife
Zero Tolerance makes some of the highest quality knives on the market. They're all made in the U.S.A., specifically in Oregon. They specialize to some extent in titanium and carbon fiber flipper knives which combine strength, lightness, and the best one-handed opening mechanism there is (IMO). This knife is very light for its size, but it's also very strong - when it locks up it feels like a bank vault door closing. I wasn't sure about the blade shape on this knife, but after using it I've come to appreciate its benefits. The trailing point design delivers a broad curved belly for slicing while at the same time keeping the blade relatively narrow for weight saving and preserving a sharp point. This knife also has a blade of CPM-20CV steel - a high-end powder metallurgy stainless steel with excellent edge retention. Overall this is one of my favorite EDC carry knives.

Sleek, Elegant, Supersteel tough blade, and ultralight weight.
This knife is among the most beautiful you have ever seen. The action is fantastic, detent is great and the blade swings fast and locks up hard. Ive used it as a daily carry and prepped food, whittled on flooring material we were installing, cleaned game, and just regular use. I love it. One thing that is a non-issue for me but might be for some is that if you are doing hard work with it, since it is a frame-lock, a tight grip can really lock that frame-lock in and make it hard to release. This knife is a beast and weighs half what most in it's class do. Get it, you'll love it.

This is a Phenomenal EDC
A Sinkevich design exquisitely executed by Zero Tolerance. It's rather large for a flipper but the combination of lightened titanium and carbon fiber brought it down to a feathery 3.8 oz. They didn't skimp on blade stock either, CPM-20CV is just about as good as you can get for a folder. It's a ball bearing pivot so it fires fast as hell and they nailed the detent/blade weight so it falls closed with minimal effort once the frame lock is disengaged. I had to tweak the clip to slide easily over the pants pocket but that's a pretty minor gripe.

high value knife

La mejor navaja qué he tenido
Elegante, práctica, excelente para trabajar, con un gran filo, muy cómoda al empuñarla y portarlo. ZT se sacó un 100 con esta navaja.
