I give Holiday Wishes by Jill Shalvis five stars. This is book 4 1/2 of the Heartbreaker Bay series. You could read it as a standalone but I would recommend reading the first 4 books because this one has all the characters from the first four books in it so in order to know everything that has happened between them all you should read the whole series. Like all of Jill's book this was very well written and not only had romance but it also will make you laugh out loud. This is a very quick read and I highly recommend the book.Sean O'Riley planned his brother's bachelor weekend ash the Hartford Bed & Breakfast but little did he know he would come face to face with a blast from his past. He walks into the Bed & Breakfast to see a woman he hadn't seen in ten years and one he never has forgotten.Lotti Hartford was not expecting to have the man she confessed her love to walk through the doors of her bed and breakfast but he does and she is no longer looking for that deep connection she is just looking to have a little fun and Sean is the perfect one for the job.As Lotti & Sean start to get to know each other again will they finally be on the same page or will one of them get their hearts broken? Will the magic of Christmas help bring them together? You have to read the book to find out!Favorite Quote:"We're all angels," Elle, another bridesmaid, said. "And when someone breaks our wings, we simply continue to fly....on a broomstick. We're flexible like that"

Sweet second chance love story!
Jill Shalvis adds another sweet romance to the Heartbreaker Bay series with this novella surrounding Sean O'Riley and a former lover against the backdrop of Finn and Pru's bachelorette/ bachelor party. When the gang from Heartbreaker Bay travel north to a B&B for the festivities, Sean isn't expecting to run into Lottie, the girl he gave his virginity to and vice versa. She's not all that thrilled to see him either, as she's angry with Sean for good reason. Seems that Sean never communicated with Lottie after that fateful day.Fast forward ten years later and Lottie is faced with Sean all over again. She's never really gotten over him, and their time together colored all her relationships after him. She's about to go on a vacation to shake his influence on her when Mother Nature steps forcing road closures, causing Pru and Finn to lose their wedding location.Sean has to prove to Lottie that he's changed at the same time he's searching for a new location for his brother's wedding. It's a big task, but Sean is definitely up to it because seeing Lottie makes him realize just what he lost ten years ago.Holiday Wishes is a very sweet second chance love story that melted my heart. Sean is super sexy and his past has made him long for what Finn has found with Pru. Meeting Lottie again just puts all the pieces in place for these two and I loved their story. It's a perfectly sized novella with a double whammy of two relationships finding their HEA.

Sweet, sexy, easy read
4 stars. This is a cute little novella! This is Sean and Lottie's story. Sean is the best man for his brother, Finn's wedding. He is responsible for planning the joint bachelor/bachelorette weekend at a B & B. He is taking his duties very seriously, but is shocked when they arrive at the inn to find Lotti is the owner. Lotti and Sean had a short relationship in high school and they were each others' firsts before Lotti moved away with her parents. Lottie has had a lot of bad relationship luck since high school and is a little bitter at Sean over the way things ended between them. But Sean has changed from the lonely, struggling kid, whose parents had just died. He now co-owns a bar and is a mature adult ready for a real relationship with the one he never should have let get away. Sean is willing to pull out all the stops in this second chance love story to get Lotti back! This was an enjoyable, sweet read! Sean and Lotti were great together and it was nice to see them both finally get the happiness they deserved. I also enjoyed catching up with the whole Heartbreaker Bay gang and seeing Pru and Finn tied the knot.Overall, this was a sweet, sexy, easy read and I really enjoyed it! I can't wait to read more from this fun series!

Sean grows up...
Sean O'Riley took plenty of time to grow up, but now he's adulting in a big way--taking on older brother Finn's bachelor party that morphs into a wedding he wasn't planning to also manage until a world-class rainstorm closes the roads and rains out the original venue. Lucky for him, the bachelor party is being held at a rustic B&B that is owned by a redheaded blast from his past.Lotti Hartford isn't so pleased to see Sean, but she steps up when it's clear that the two-day party is extended. She even donates her unused wedding dress from a non-event that was supposed to occur the year before but didn't.As the weekend continues, it isn't just Finn's wedding that looms large. Maybe Sean and Lotti are going to get back together, too. One never knows what this pre-Christmas gathering may lead to...

4.5 - "You go ahead and give ignoring what's still between us your best shot... I'll wait right here." Stars!Christmas would not be the same without at least one offering from Jill Shalvis, and lucky us we get two in 2017, following on from Chasing Christmas Eve; Holiday Wishes gives us Sean O’Riley’s story.Sean is Finn’s younger brother, the brother who no one has any expectations of, and expect nothing from. Finn being the elder brother always sorted everything out for him when he was younger, and has also spent the better part of his life since keeping him out of trouble."I’ve learned a whole lot since then."But things change, and Sean wants to prove to Finn that he has grown up and capable of being responsible, by taking on the planning of the joint Bachelor/Bachelorette weekend in Charlotte Hartford’s B&B, and their first meeting after so many years, doesn’t exactly go how Sean expects it too."We’re not getting out of here and neither are you."Mother Nature has other ideas though, and leaves Sean and the rest of the party trapped for more than the weekend they were planning to stay. But Sean is not going to let the weather spoil the wedding and looks to Lottie for help. But she has plans, which don’t include planning a wedding on the bounce, over her first Christmas off in years."Maybe you’re not the only one who grew up."Sun, sea, and a sexy surfer to ease a little of the ‘stress’ she has been under was firmly on her agenda, so being trapped with the guy who took her virginity and then left her straight afterward, and helping him make his brother’s wedding go off without a hitch is really not something she wants to contemplate. He was even more appealing than he’d been all those years ago. It’s not a secret that I am a huge fan of this author, and this series has gone from strength to strength with each book added to it. While this was a relatively quick read, it was great to spend some more time with the Heartbreaker Bay crew over Christmas, and to see Sean, step up, man up and grown up in taking on the responsibility of making sure Pru and Finn got the wedding they deserved. The second-chance with Lottie, rounded things out nicely, and I cannot wait to get back to this series when we return for book five About That Kiss January 2018.

This is such a scorcher of a story.
Jill Shalvis is my go-to author whenever I want a romantic, uplifting, heartwarming story. Sassy girls and extremely gorgeous men with attitude provide the ideal ingredients for an enjoyable read. Mix in her trademark humour and Christmas and it all becomes very special.Holiday Wishes is another novella in the Heartbreaker Bay series, it can be read as a standalone but all the others are so damn good you’d be crazy to miss them. This time it’s Sean’s story, a wild, sexy, rebel in his youth he is finally taking things seriously by accepting the role of best man and organising big brother Finn’s wedding to Pru.The gang of friends who we have grown to love all head to a little B&B for the bachelor/ette party weekend. Unknown to Sean it’s owned and run by Lotti, the teenager he lost his virginity with ten years previously. Being the player that he was he left her stranded and in the process broke both their hearts. The chemistry between them still sizzles but how can Lotti trust him again? This is such a scorcher of a story, Sean is just irresistible I fell for him at the start, Lotti has enough balls to make it entertaining. This is such a short, quick but satisfying book .. read it, enjoy it and just wish you could be in that B&B! Five sparkly, festive stars yet again for this series.
