Well, When I can't order it, I kind of panic. Does that tell you anything?
Comes on time and as described! My sister's husband got a job in London a few years back. When she come home their first year for Christmas she brought me back a small box of "Cornish Sea Salt Flakes". That's all it took. The taste is SO clean and good! I just adore it, it's all I use now.Sustainably hand harvested from protected open sea in Cornwall England, it is rich in magnesium and calcium, naturally lower in sodium, which, according to their website, says this means you can use 30% less salt and obtain a rich salty taste, so health wise, this is a great value.I have been hooked every since. According to the description, it's supposed to be used as a "finishing" salt, like to top off a cookie or on top of a caramel. Perhaps a fine poached fish, or sprinkled as part of the garnish on that perfect roast or veg to impress the boss when he comes for dinner. But for me, I use this every day in every recipe, as is, right in the pot or bake, and I love it.Someone, I am positive, will tell me that because it is a finishing salt that it is supposed to be "crunchy" (yes, I get it) either too salty or not salty enough to be used in a recipe and that 'flakes' melt faster on top of warm foods (yup, I know that also)-- ok, thank you, that is good to know!(I will still be using it my way when you go home --> and you can too! very few rules when no one is looking!)Enjoy the taste. That's it. If you like crunchy salt get the Cornish *Crystals* if you like a melting salt get the *Flakes*!!! Either way Cornish Sea Salt is the Yummiest!!!I can tell you I enjoy this product. I buy it in the large tub by subscription as the main source for the salt use in our home. I use it in all my cooking, baking, and as it's intended use -as a finishing salt, which I find excellent on top of sweets and savory dishes. The salt itself comes "flaked" meaning that instead of crystals which most of us are used to seeing in table salt or even larger rocks for fresh grinding or used whole, these are literal flakes. The flakes are very small, about the same size of rolled oat if you broke it in half or a forth, and some even smaller. Very fragile, so it can break easily with slight compression between your fingers, just a pinch will make it into a fine powder which is great over your eggs at breakfast or your green beans at lunch. Or if you're like a few people in my family -just leave them as is and enjoy a whole flake! It will easily melt over warm or hot food making your meal wonderful.Baking/Cooking: Just use your measuring spoon as usual, or at least I have, to scoop up the flakes as you would regular table salt for recipes. I have never had an issues with recipes. I bake bread weekly for myself, family and friends and no one has ever said anything other than "Are there any more loaves?" *I* presume the measurement comes out "equal" because with table salt, the salt is compact and 'solid' in the measuring spoon. Whereas with the flakes there is a lot of space/air between the flakes as they sit in the spoon, hence the using 30% less and still getting 100% taste and less sodium.I dispense my tub into a dedicated pots- for stovetop use, a baking jar, and a little pot for the table. When we have guests I have individual little salt sellers for each guest so that they can pinch their own fresh salt and pepper as they wish. You do You!Bottom Line: Sustainably Sourced. Hand harvested from Protected Open Sea Waters. Over 60 Natural Minerals including Magnesium and Calcium, and LOW Sodium (use 30% less salt to get 100% taste) TOTALLY WORTH IT!!!

The ONLY Salt
I don’t know what I ate my entire life before this, but it wasn’t salt. It was nasty by comparison because this is the greatest salt ever. This actually taste like food. It does the thing salt should do which is enhance flavor and not give you some weird shirt taste adjacent. I will never buy another salt.

Taste
I have been using this salt for the last 4 years. I have purchased both the crystals and the flakes. Both taste great and bring out wonderful flavor to food.

Good for bagels
This is coarser than regular Morton's kosher salt, which is good for bagels. Unfortunately if you leave the bagels for more than a couple of days the salt still dissolves into the bread, which is disappointing, but it lasts longer than kosher salt, which is what mattered to me. It will give you that nice crunch factor when you bite into it. I think this will last me for quite a while yet, but I'll order more as I need it.

Flavorful salt, irregular flake size
Overall, this flake salt is a fantastic pantry staple. It has a clean, salty flavor with no unpleasant aftertaste. While the majority of the flakes are, well, flake-sized, there are more than a few large clusters in the tub which are far too large to put on a dish as a finishing touch. Imagine the largest salt cube on a pretzel, then multiply that by four or five times. They are too hard for me to break with my fingers, so I'll need to use a mortar and pestle to break these up to a finer consistency. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but if the flakes were more regularly sized, this salt would be a five-star product!

Delicious and reasonably priced
This has become my favorite type of salt. I kept seeing flaky sea salt on cooking videos and I had to try it. I used it on my whipped feta filled dates with a tasted pecan and honey topping and it was the perfect ratio of salty and sweet.I love the texture and a little goes a long way! This was the best price I have found. Would definitely recommend
