You wouldn't think a sponge is review-worthy, but I LOVE these sponges! First off, they're very absorbant and thick. They suck up water quickly and hold suds remarkably. They're gentle on polished stainless steel or glass. And even though I've been using one sponge for about a month now, it hasn't degraded at all. And I sterilize mine in boiling water every few days. Best part for me is the color. I HATE the ugly, preschool bright pinks and lime greens and tacky blues of most sponges. These are dark, uniform, understated--and they don't show hideous multi-colored stains from things like coffee and blueberries. I realize the sponges are synthetic (good) but don't know what other chemicals are in them. I'm trusting they're safe to use over time. Otherwise, perfect sponge.

Love these modern, masculine, black, non-scratch, sponges. They arrive in a flattened micro condition which is ideal for storage; Then, grow to full size once immersed in water. Functional yet chic: Ideal for today's man.

I love these sponges. I bought the black so my sponge wouldn't look horrible from wiping up tomato and mustard, etc. The black ones aren't really black but rather a dark grey. They are super nice though. I can buy cellulose sponges at my supermarket but I like these better. They are slight smaller in my hand but much thicker and they are softer yet are so far holding up extremely well. The holes are closer together which makes them "finer" in feel. Because I have a small hand I really like the size but it may be a consideration for those with very large hands. I'm going to be using these sponges from now on. For those who want a deep, deep black sponge I highly recommend the Swedish dishcloth sponges. They are a beautiful deep black and highly absorbent. There is no competition though between these two sponges as they are very different in shape and use. Why buy these sponges if you can get something similar at the grocery store? To me, they are just enough nicer and I feel totally pampered. Doing dishes is more fun and isn't that just what life is all about - learning to enjoy every moment? Go on, spoil yourself.

Great marks for absobency and resilience but these sponges measure only 2 1/4" x 3 3/4" when fully expanded, which is obviously not optimal. But a larger size would be great and 5 stars across the board. Even if the sponges were more the normal size of U.S. supermarket sponges, that would be okay. It's too bad that they're not.

Just what I wanted. So glad they come in this color. Once the dried/flat grey sponges are wetted, they get darker. Not jet black but close enough to black. Sorry, I'm not gonna measure them to see if they exactly match the description. Not gonna take pics. Other people did that. They are the size and color I hoped for, not tiny, not large, not dull grey. Standard thickness (actually a little bit thicker), for this size of sponge. I'm sensitive to tactile experiences. The texture is good, and they are soft. They squeeze out well. I air dry them and rotate so they will last longer and not be as likely grow gross colonies of yuck.

These are ordinary cellulose sponges in bold colors. I prefer cellulose sponges and use a lot of them, and I like purple, so these are fine. However, all 3 of the advertised dimensions are inaccurate. Fully hydrated, these sponges are 10.75 X 6 X 1.75 cm, a decent small size, but noticeably < the claimed 4.35" x 2.6" x 1", especially in thickness. If my math is correct, their volume is almost 40% < what's advertised. They're OK sponges, just don't expect them to be what they claim. (Note this is one shipment of one color in January 2025, in other words entirely anecdotal testimony. I did measure carefully, though.)

I used these as water sponges to put in temporary tattoos for Halloween. I cut them into bats, coffins, etc! Perfect! They were exactly what I needed.

These are amazing. They are so tiny, but add water and they become a regular size sponge. Love them!

Love how compact these are, they really swell up well and they are not too thick.
