APPLE MACBOOK A1342 UNI-BODY CORE 2 DUO 2.26GHZ-2.4GHZ 4GB 128GB SSD SMART DVD SIERRA OS (Renewed)

After many many hours of research, reading reviews and discussions with my son who has one of these laptops, I finally decided that the time was right for me to take the plunge and buy the laptop. I cannot afford a new Apple MacBook and was not really sure what to expect having read some not so good reviews on these laptops, but when my ‘new’ refurbished laptop arrived on Friday as promised, I was very pleasantly surprised at how good it looked.This is my initial review which I will update at a later stage should the need arise.This is not a flimsy lightweight plasticy laptop but a well made Apple MacBook A1342 which was manufactured in late 2009.The casing is in almost new condition, with one tiny scuff mark under the machine. It is spotlessly clean and if you did not know it was refurbished you would think it was new. The Apple emblem on the front of the casing lights up when the laptop is opened.The laptop powered up as expected and the installation was very easy, it linked up with my iPhone and iPad, transferring my contacts and other information automatically. It is very easy to use, I just have to get used to the fact that it is not an iPad with a touch screen.Both the USB ports work using a wireless mouse, a SD card reader - to download photos from my Canon camera and a USB stick containing a large amount of photos which have been transferred onto the laptop.The DVD/CD drive works, recognising and playing a DVD as it was slotted into the drive.I cannot comment on the battery life as I have only just got the laptop, but I can say that I used it for about 5 hours yesterday and left it unplugged last night and there was still 28% battery power this morning. This is on par with most of the laptops of this age.It comes with the charger with an English plug and a nice long cable. The cable has a magnetic power hook up into the laptop which is very handy, no struggling to find the holes in the dark.... When plugged into the power it charges up quickly and I have no complaints there (so far)I wanted a bigger solid state hard drive and emailed the team at CRS-UK and asked them if this was possible and the cost. They replied it was and once I had put the money into their account the upgrade was done. I want to thank the team at CRS-UK for their assistance in upgrading the SSD and getting it to me as promised. The laptop was very well wrapped in a strange ‘bubble wrap’ bag, in a cardboard box and couriered to me to arrive the day after I bought it. Well done guys it is appreciated.Very happy with my purchase, with the ease of the installation, downloading hundreds of photos and playing around for about four hours I think this is a seriously good laptop.

Arrived 2 days later in immaculate condition booted up fine and worked straight out of the box.Then could not update to Catalina, took to shop told it's a early 2009 model and cannot be updated. Now 6 months on it's so slow and keeps loosing documents, freezing, dropping out of programs when you're working and shutting down.Don't Buy. !!!!

The product could be mistaken for brand new. In immaculate condition throughout with everything working as expected. Specs exceeded the description with upgraded OS and SSD all at NO CHARGE! Wonderful product. My next purchase will definitely be from here.

Computer works great , arrived promptly, is in good condition , I am happy.

After I’ve had this for a few months, I noticed the bottom of the MacBook was overheating and that caused the plastic cover to be rubberized and that’s harmful if you’re like me, using the laptop on your lap. If this melts into your skin, then you are pretty much going to have third degree burns or worse a lot of scars from the plastic being torn from your skin.I’d recommend you buy a better MacBook that has a metal bottom or a bottom that has fan holes (air vents) to cool the battery and the internals.

Wurde zügig geliefert, das Gerät ist in einem guten Zustand (wie beschrieben) und es funktioniert wie es soll.Absolute Kaufempfehlung meinerseits, wenn man wie ich aus Umweltschutzgründen darauf verzichtet neue Geräte zu kaufen.

Bin echt enttäuscht.Beschreibung stimmt nicht. Es ist weder weiss glänzend, noch hat es eine rutschhemende Unterseite. Es trifft auch nicht zu, dass es nur minimale bis gar keine Gebrauchspuren vorhanden sind. Zudem riecht es nach Farbe, als wäre es übermalt worden.
