Mela B3 Serum, Dark Spot Corrector With Anti-Aging Melasyl + 10% Niacinamide, Discoloration Correcting Serum for Sun Spots, Age Spots & Post-Acne Marks

I have to share this with you!!!!!. This is my 5th bottle, and I can honestly say I’m beyond impressed with the results. At first, I had my doubts, but this product has truly exceeded my expectations. I’ve seen amazing improvements, especially on my décolletage area, which used to be one of my biggest insecurities. The appearance of dark spots and uneven tone has consistently improved over time, and my skin now looks much more even and radiant. I use it every night before going to bed, and on alternating days I also apply it in the morning, always followed by sunscreen. This routine has made a huge difference. The texture is silky and not sticky at all, and it has a very delicate, pleasant scent, which makes it even more enjoyable to use. If you’re dealing with sun spots or discoloration like I was, this product is definitely worth trying. I’m extremely happy with the results and will absolutely keep repurchasing!

It did its job very well. I am definitely purchasing another one. It lasted for 4 months; I used once a day and skipped days when I felt like my skin needs to rest. It has definitely improved my skin, reduced dark spots. It doesn't smell and has a great feeling on the face; it is not thick at all. It hydrates if properly applied with some sort of humectant.

Gentle and lightweight serum that helps brighten skin and fade dark spots over time. Great for sensitive skin and daily use, but results are gradual.

This serum does what it’s supposed to but like everything else that promises to erase dark spots, it requires the patience of a saint. I am on my third bottle and the dark spots I have are fainter and losing definition. I imagine it will be another three bottles before I can say they’re mostly gone. However, this serum does a lot of things well and you should get it regardless. I have rosacea plus really fair skin plus twenty years in Florida so lots for a serum to unpack here. Within a couple of days of using this, my skin was plump and glowing. People noticed and were asking me about it. When I don’t use it for a few days it’s like someone took the instagram filter off my face. So, it has lots of great benefits besides the dark spot correction. Which it does that too if you live to see it. Not too crazy about the smell but it absorbs really fast and smooth so it’s gone in a couple of minutes. A worthy purchase in my freckled opinion.

It seems to helps lighten melasma on my face. I have been using it for a while before I noticed it. This is my third bottle. After washing my face and apply non-alcohol toner, I apply vitamin c serum and then this serum before moisturizer and sunscreen. Also wear a hat when I leave home. I can’t remember how long, but it is definitely longer than 6 months before I see clear result. So, if you are tackling stubborn or thick melasma and do not want to go with cosmetic surgery/treatment route, this might be your option to try.

Magical. I recently saw a dermatologist regarding my middle aged face. She sent me out the door with a few samples of this and a few samples of sunscreens. Loved them all. But this. Wow. If you are treating your skin with prescriptions that cause redness or dryness but you must push through to see the results you want- use this too! Cicaplast B5 and this magical serum will have your skin feeling soft, smooth, moisturized and a whole lot happier. Initially, smoothing this into my skin feels luxurious and lovely. The serum moves easily, absorbs and feels hydrating. Immediately, my skin is happier. It’s even happier 20 minutes later. I put this on while getting ready for bed and in the morning after washing my face. 1 week in and I think there is a visible difference. I am using four new products on my face to help with the case of Getting Old and this is one of them. Cicaplast B5, a sunscreen and face wash- from this brand, La Roche-Posay. I never tried them till the dermatologist recommended and this brand seems fantastic. The dermatologist I saw was younger than me but her skin was amazing. She glowed and her skin was translucent and utterly blemish free. I was listening to everything she said and La Roche-Posay was her favorite brand for herself and to recommend. What else does she do to keep her skin supple and radiant? I should have asked! My skin has improved and I am buying another bottle for a friend and probably for my Mother. I do have sensitive skin (Oil of Olay moisturizer used to turn my face red and burn like fire). La Roche Posay products have been excellent and irritant free. Recommended! Try it. It’s good. (I have tried Chanel’s La Blanc line. Lancome. Philosophy. Murad. I like the La Blanc face wash and everything Shiseido. Everything else was forgettable and ineffective.) The La Roche Posay products I have used make me curious to try more of their products.

On my 3rd bottle. Have seen very slight fading of brown spots, but was hoping for more. Use this twice daily. Is there something better???

If you prioritize something with a cute package and irresistible scent this is not your serum. However if you struggle with dark spots on your skin/melasma this serum is definitely a helper with guaranteed improvements. It’s not a miracle maker but since I started using it 2x day some of my dark spots lit up or reduced size. More importantly - had no other dark spots appearing on my face since!!! It smells and has the texture of a treatment product- it’s not fragrant at all and if applied in excess will create a yellowish paste on the skin. However if well applied and spread on the skin before your moisturizer none of this will happen. I was quite faithful to caudalie’s vinoperfect serum (has an equivalent cost) but this one, in results definitely makes la roche posay in the lead of anti-pigmentation skincare.

I’ve always been quite skeptical about cosmetic products — they often seem to promise more than they actually deliver. However, my experience with the Mela B3 Serum has been surprisingly positive. I’ve had melasma since the birth of my daughter, more than ten years ago, so I don’t expect it to disappear overnight with just one product. After about 30 days of consistent use, I noticed — and confirmed through photos — that the darker spots became slightly lighter, and some of the lighter ones have partially faded. I use the serum twice a day (morning and night), after cleansing my face with La Roche-Posay Purifying Wash, followed by sunscreen, which I reapply throughout the day. I plan to keep using it and hope to see even better results over time. I believe this is the kind of product that shows its best effects with long-term use and careful sun protection. It’s also worth mentioning that I have rosacea, which had recently flared up quite badly. Since starting Mela B3 Serum, my rosacea has improved significantly — I’d say by around 70%. The redness, affected area, discomfort, and itching have all decreased noticeably. Overall, I’ve seen a remarkable improvement in my rosacea.

Great product against melasma. It helps controlling the darks spots of the skin.

Compré este producto en octubre del 2025 y lo he vuelto a comprar (aunque esta vez me llegó chafado). Pongo cinco estrellas porque el producto las merece. Pero añado las imágenes de cómo me ha llegado esta vez. En fin, la dermatóloga me recomendó este sérum en concreto porque después del verano tenía manchas solares en el rostro. Y porque la Niacinamida tiene más propiedades de lo que creemos: Despigmentante, poros, rojeces Después de tres meses y medio utilizando este sérum, las manchitas se han difuminado más o menos en un 50%. Puede parecer poco, pero hay que tener en cuenta que comencé a aplicármelo poco a poco, porque este sérum contiene un 10% de Niacinamida, que es bastante si no estás acostumbrada... aunque haya despigmentantes más potentes. Comencé 1-2 noches por semana, y ahora me lo aplico 3-4. Incluso lo combino con el limpiador. ¡Voy subiendo en intensidad antes de que llegue el verano! Por qué me gusta 1. La Niacinamida es un componente que ahora incluyen muchos productos. Es despigmentante, antioxidante, actúa sobre el sebo y los poros, refuerza la barrera cutánea, actúa sobre las rojeces... Yo combino o alterno este sérum con Vitamina C y Retinol. Funcionan de manera distinta 2. Otra razón por la que me gusta este sérum es por su segundo componente, el Melasyl. Este es un activo patentado por L'Oréal y lo veréis en otros productos que parecen otras marcas pero pertenecen a L'Oréal, como por ejemplo, Vichy. Lo que hace el Melasyl, dicho así en bruto y sin entrar en tecnicismos es que no inhibe la producción de melanina, sino que evita que se formen manchas. Si utilizáis despigmentantes, sabréis que hay muchos activos que son más potentes, como el ácido kójico, azelaico etc. Estos inhiben directamente la producción de la melanina. El Melasyl, que tiene muchas búsquedas en Internet, dicen que es una de las moléculas eficaces para despigmentación y prevenir manchas. ¡Veremos lo de prevenir! 3. Incluye más componentes, como por ejemplo, un derivado del ácido salicílico, que es más suave que el ácido salicílico y cuya función es exfoliar suavemente, mejorar textura de la piel y complementarse con la Niacimamida y el Melasyl. 4. También incluye un retinoide suave, para mejorar la textura de la piel poco a poco y mantener la piel joven y elástica. 5. Y como no, también contiene agua termal. ¡Un clásico de La Roche Posay que calma la piel! En definitiva, es un sérum muy completo que puede aplicarse tanto de día como de noche y que no sólo elimina manchas, también las previene y mejora el estado de la piel. Con este frío, noto mucho los días en que no me aplico el sérum. Qué no me ha gustado: Como ya he comentado al principio, la caja vino chafada, como si alguien la hubiese abierto. Y además, el producto viene bocabajo. Parece más una devolución de alguien que lo ha vuelto a meter torpemente en la caja que un producto nuevo. Es la primera vez que me sucede y espero que la última. No se puede entregar un producto así, y menos un producto de cuidado de la piel. Es más, no quiero que me lo cambien. Directamente, me iré a la farmacia. Incluyo fotos del producto bueno, que se me está agotando, y fotos del producto "nuevo" que me ha llegado.
