PP314 Ocean Drum, Brown

These drums have two different skins. One side is much thinner than the other and the thinner one was damaged on the first drum that we received. Full marks to Normans Musical Instruments' Customer Services. They dealt with the complaint with their suppliers and we received a replacement drum. This is a superior drum to the one a friend had. I fell in love with hers and wanted one of my own. This is everything I expected and more. Just sit with it on your lap and slowly move the drum by tilting your legs or move it very gently by hand. It has a very realistic sound and, being deeper than some on the market, there's more resonance. Would definitely recommend it.

Great sounding drum with real hide coverings. I have taken the shot out by drilling a hole under the banding tape to make a very deep sounding and long resonating drum. Works very well with a beating stick with a medium to hard beater. A good double skin drum perfect for the drumming circle. Played best by resting in palm or supported on knee with hand on top. Skins are glued to rim and edges covered by a decrotive banding take. I bought 2 as I was so impressed. Ocean sound very realistic when moved slowly. Happy Drumming!

Once I found the gentle movement which suited a lazy or rough sea I found it wonderfully soothing and therapeutic

The media could not be loaded.  Great mid-priced drum. Really good sound. Happy I spend a bit more and didn't get the cheapest - makes a different when it come to this kind of instrument. Also it arrived really fast which was nice :-)Plus the size is perfect for me.

Fabulous sound.Used it live on a gig with a singer/songwriter. He loved it!
