Great for patio watering
I like that it is easy to move about. I have been more consistant in watering my plants because I can pull it out quickly and water all my patio plants. I keep it in a shady area in I believe that the sun will proparly corrode the hose. I must admit I love that I do not have to roll it up as I do with my other garden hoses. As I stated I use it more and am very pleased.

Good Hose but with a drawback
This is a good hose with very light wight and seems to be a good quality. But the water volume is very less. So if you are thinking of watering your lawn, think again as the volume of water coming out of the Hose is very low.

Just 3-Stars but, I would buy it again. Get a longer length than the box states.
(Item: Xhose Pro Garden Hose, 50 Foot Expandable Garden Hoses, Tough & Flexible Water Hose, Lightweight, Solid Brass Fittings, Kink Free, Easy to Use & Store)I’ve wanted one of these since I first saw the commercials on TV. It seemed like a huge step ahead for hose technology. The expandable hose is pretty cool to use in real life. It lengthens when water is pumped through it. When finished, it shrinks back down as you spray the last bits of water out of the nozzle. Just like on the commercial. And, it's very convenient for storage. I don’t miss the days of having to wind a hose back up.As for length, this 50ft hose can only stretch to about 37 feet comfortably. You may be able to get 1-2 more feet if you’re pulling it tight. But when doing that, you’re definitely putting strain on the faucet valve. So, consider getting a longer hose than what’s labeled on the box.The DAC-5 expanding/contracting fibers work well but, they’re not super durable. On grass, you won’t have any issues. On very smooth-paved concrete, you’ll be fine too. But, if the concrete is even slightly rough (or paved like black asphalt), that’s enough to start snagging/fraying the fibers. Sort of like when you run a Q-Tip over something rough - it starts pulling on the cotton strands. The on/off nozzle at the front of the hose is nice. It lets you control the water pressure easily. Even better if you’re using it with a separate gun-style spray nozzle. The water pressure is good but not great. Easily powerful enough to give a car a good, thorough wash. But, not strong enough to power wash siding or windows. This fit my needs (car washing & watering plants) but, this is not a super durable hose. For that, you’d be looking at either stainless steel, or one made with heavy-duty rubber. Definitely don’t leave this in the sun for weeks. And again, avoid using it on rough surfaces. The appeal of this hose is the expanding/contracting feature.

For me, it's a must have
My wife and I commercially clean and degrease multiple car dealership service garages, and this hose is a must have for us. As far as pros go, it is much, much lighter weight and easier to maneuver than your average hose of even half the length would be. It's also very important to us that the hose is able to be easily transported. Because this hose shrinks down to such a small size, we can easily transport it in a 5 gallon bucket. The shutoff on the end of the hose is also a very useful feature. There are only two major cons that I have experienced, the first being that there is a drop in water pressure while using this hose. Inherently, from its design, there will be a small drop of water pressure since it relies on that pressure to expand. The only other con is that the durability of this hose is not as high as your typical rubber hose. Being heavily used every weekend, our first Hose X Pro lasted over 2 years. If taken care of, the durability is not a huge issue, but is still something to keep in mind. Overall, this is a product that I will continue buying for as long as it is available.

Could be 5 stars but...
I bought an extra 50ft to add on to a shrinking hose I previously bought from a hardware store. However, even after the hose is expanded, it doesn't shrink down as small as the previously bought one. Not a huge deal, and still the right length of hose I needed, but its certainly not like the one I bought at the hardware store.Other than that, it's easy to use/store and the valve switches are a bonus!

Will never go back to the ol rubber hoses
On Vancouver Island we have been finding in the last years that the drought conditions are at 4 by end of June, we have a 3 acre landscaped proberty that we are not allowed to use sprinklers above or automatic so my husnband has hoses everywhere to hand water, unsightly to say the least, these awesome hoses are great , 100' hose becomes way smaller, can be on the driveway and get run over not a problem, on my patio i can reach every plant and more , than empty out to a small hose. LOVE these hoses

We love the product!
I bought a 100' and a 25' hoses, and they are both wonderful! They don't kink and very light to handle. Highly recommended.
