7 1/2 fit my 60.5 cm head perfectly. Snug enough to be secure, but still comfortable when worn for hours. Good construction outside and in. Outer fabric weight is similar to a heavy workshirt or a denim shirt. Pretty much holds its shape when taken off. Not really breathable with the 2 layers, so don't expect cooling action if that's what you're looking for. Overall a great looking/fitting light-medium weight cap.

Great hat! Fits well, true to size. Cool material, great for the warmer months, keeping the rays off the dome. Good value.

Nice cap! Mine is a 7.5 size and perfect fit for my 7.5 head, so I don't understand others "loose" comments. Maybe measure your head and order the correct size! Duh.

These hats are just as good as some of the more expensive hats. They look good and fit well. Also have many color options.

I bought the light khaki version, too, both in 7 1/4. A solid value for the money. Looks good with different styles. I applied two light coats of Filson's Oil Finish Wax by hand, and warmed the hat in the drier after each coat to get the wax absorbed. (a hair drier or heat gun is recommended by Filson.) The hat looks like a million bucks now and holds its shape nicely. I tend to ditch the polyester liner better breathability. The canvas is light and sturdy, and the fit is decent, though there is variance from hat to hat.

I ordered this hat in two sizes and had to return both due to lousy size quality. One size was supposed to be a 7 1/4 and was way too tight. In real world sizes, it's probably a 7. The other I ordered said it was a 7 1/2 but it was MUCH larger than a 7 1/2. I wear a 7 3/8 and can usually get by with the small difference in size up or down. Not so with these. The hat appears well made and is a great color, but watch the size.

The quality is ok the cloth material is quite thin which can be a good thing especially in hot weather or summer time. Bit big on my head especially on the sides and around temple.
