I use these cannisters for a cooking torch, I'm no professional cook by any means but I enjoy souvide steak. I find the cannisters last a good while, easily do a dozen steaks on a single one. In my experience Butane in general can impart a gassy taste onto food if you use it too closely to the food, this one is no different - unspent liquid gas spits onto the food leaving a taste behind, so it is important to only seer your food with the tip of the flame rather than as close as possible. All things said, affordable and plenty of them, no issues at all attaching to my torch.

These are a good price, but not sure on the longevity of them. I used one in my cabin for 15 minutes to take chill off before I went in , I walked in and could smell gas, the heater had gone off and the gas was still emitting from the fire. So I switched it off and took cannister out which was half full. Can't prove whether it was cannister or my fire. But I put another in and it worked immediately. So just be careful.
