I regret buying the Samsung Odyssey OLED G9 (model LS49CG950SWXXL) due to several issues: 1. No Return or Refund Policy: Once purchased, you’re stuck with it. No option to return or replace only service under warranty if any issue arises. 2. USB-C to USB-C Doesn’t Work for Display: You cannot connect your laptop or mobile directly to the monitor using a USB-C cable. It only supports DisplayPort or HDMI for video input, which is disappointing for such a high-end product. 3. USB Hub Issues: Connecting devices like a mouse or keyboard to the monitor’s USB-C port doesn’t work properly. You’ll have to connect these peripherals directly to your laptop or buy an additional USB hub. 4. No Picture-in-Picture (PIP) Feature: This model does not support PIP. It supports multiple sources but lacks proper PIP functionality compared to other Samsung monitors. 5. Connectivity Limitations: Compared to Samsung’s Smart M8 monitors, this model falls short in terms of flexibility. Be prepared to buy a separate hub or dock to overcome these limitations, which means spending extra money. The only good thing is the wide display. If you only need it for the screen using HDMI or DisplayPort, it’s fine. But for everything else, the connectivity is a major letdown. Make sure you check everything before buying. It’s not worth it otherwise.
