Fantastic Kayak for those who like to paddle and not peddle.
I bought a peddle kayak and paid a lot for it and ended up reselling it and bought this one for a lot less money. I thought the price on this one was excellent for all you I got. I have tricked it out with some nice accessories, which I would have done for any one I ended up with, but I really like the way this moves in the water yet remains quite stable. I hope to do a lot more fishing and paddling this year.

Fantastic kayak, especially at this price
I really like the layout. I have added a small sonar unit. The transducer goes through the scupper hole so no modification or attachments needed. I also added rod holders on the rails so I can troll. Overall it handles very well. I have had it out in 2 ft waves and in calm bays I am comfortable standing in it to cast. It is also one of the lighter options at this size which makes it that much easier to transport by yourself.

Very Stable platform, but beware if you live in Ohio!!!!
A company named RXO out of central Ohio delivered my kayak 2 weeks ahead of schedule. I got a courtesy call from the driver when he was an hour out from my house, and was super polite! When I got home, I observed that the driver had placed the kayak right where I had asked, and it was double wrapped in bubble wrap and plastic. There were no scratches, dents, or damage at all. Overall this was the best delivery I've ever had, and my hat's off to RXO.That being said, I was about to experience some initial pains before I could get it in the water. I had done my homework and knew beforehand that the state of Ohio required kayaks to be registered. What I did not know is that in order to register a kayak at least 10 feet in length, you have to have a Hull Identification Number verification inspection and have a completed Manufacturer's Declaration of Origin form already filled out. It took several phone calls and online inquiries before I discovered that Pelican has a downloadable owner's manual (a paper copy did not accompany the kayak itself). In the middle of the owner's manual is a PDF formatted Manufacturer's Declaration of Origin, which can be completed by the new owner. For anyone in this situation, the Hull ID number is located on the right rear corner of all Pelican kayaks. The biggest problem was that I had to drive 2 hours away to a Department of Natural Resources Boat Registration Agent, for all of 10 minutes while they ran the Hull ID # through an international database to ensure it wasn't stolen, after which they gave me a little slip of paper which I had to drive all the way home and go to the local Title Office so I could get my registration stickers. What a pain!!!Now, on to the good stuff!! This thing handles like a dream! I bought it to bass fish, and it tracks straight as an arrow, while also being a very stable platform to stand and cast WAY back into the veggies to get those fall bucket mouths out of their hiding grounds. I had originally been torn on whether to buy the Catch 100 or the 120, but I went with the 100 for the portability factor and this thing has tons of storage room and standing space. Just for reference, I am 5'10" and 250 pounds and I added at least 50 pounds of gear, which this kayak handled with no problems. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Very stable and sturdy
This is my first kayak and it is a great beginner kayak. Very affordable. I've taken it out on a lake and in the river and it tracks pretty well, but is a bit slow. It makes up for that with it's sturdiness. Shipping was fine and it arrived in good shape. I recommend!!

Never buy a kayak from these people!
The kayak itself is exactly what I wanted. It's stable enough to comfortably stand in (Im 6ft and 155 lbs), and has a great seat. It is pretty long and heavy having said that, so I will be getting some wheels to go with it.The problem is it took 3 weeks to arrive, which was most of a week after when they said it would be delivered. I spent three four hour periods on different days sitting around waiting for delivery, because they needed a signature.Additionally, I spent an hour on hold between two occasions with the shipping company attempting to figure out why they didn't show up. Both of those calls dropped while on hold, and I had to contact Amazon customer service directly. It also came with extensive shipping damage that you can see in the attached images. This included an actual hole in the hull. I attempted to fix this through amazon customer service, who were very nice and tried to be helpful. All they could offer me, however, was a return/replacement process which would have taken at least a month before I received my refund or replacement kayak. If I chose replacement, they would pick up this kayak long before I got the replacement. That means I would spend October exactly like I spent September; sitting on my thumb unable to go fishing because Im waiting on a delivery/ refund. What I finally settled on was a partial refund of $177, meaning I paid over $500 for a kayak in worse shape than if I had bought it used from a drunken frat boy. It's brand new and already has waterproof tape covering a hole. The bottom line is the people handling the shipping of these kayaks couldn't care less about getting it to you on time or undamaged. Save yourself time, stress, and money by buying one from a local store, even if they have to order it so you can go pick it up. This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had buying anything online. If I could give them negative stars I would. The whole experience just flipping sucked.
