some of the hooks are dull
Haven't fished with this yet, but 3/5 of the hooks were dull on the only package that I opened. The mono is very cheap, springy and stiff. But I do think this mono will have good abrasion resistance, and perhaps it's stiffness will be beneficial for holding the lures out and away from the mainline. ***************update After action report: Works great on mackerel. I micrometered the line diameters and the mainline and snoods are true to their claimed spec 0.6mm and 0.5mm respectively which should equal test 40# and 25#. The mono only seems stiffer than the "marathon msb-119gl-16" sold at WMT but that's because the marathon overstates it's diameter. Marathon claim 50# main and 30# snood but since I measure just 0.5mm and 0.45mm respectively, the marathon is really only 25# main 20# snood. So not only are these cheaper than the Marathon sabikis at WMT they are true to their claimed spec too. Would be 5* if all the hooks were razor sharp right out of the box, I am happy with this product though.

Not for Smelt - bigger fish sure
Someone had written good for smelt - or I saw it in the description.... these are 1/0 hooks no way a smelt could bite it :-) maybe a smelt on steroids... a 12" or 18" smelt....maybe :-) Mackerel probably killer Gave 3 stars for the misleading description and saying for smelt -- was hopeful they really weren't 1/0 BIG hooks lol but they are. on to next listing. thx!
