Liliana Cruz Embroidered Mexican Peasant Dress

Cute dress- I ordered a small and I’m 5’8” and 130 lbs. I was nervous bc if it shrunk even a little bit it would be too small but since it’s NOT 100% cotton as stated (more like 100% poly), it still fits fine after washing.UPDATE: I am still disappointed in the material of this dress. I really don't understand how the seller can say it is 100% cotton. It is shiny polyester. The side seams seem to be sewn too tightly and seem bunched when viewed from the side. Overally, please save yourself the $45 and DO not purchase this dress.

Dress fit great. Very comfortable. I am a short, plus size girl. 5'3" size 20W. Dress fit great and had plenty of room.

Love this dress, it was perfect for a fiesta theme party. It dose run large so order down. I got tons of compliments!

I bought this for my mother. She’s been wanting one for so long. She normally wears a 2x T-shirt but to be safe I ordered the 3x in the cotton dress. She loves it and says it’s so comfortable and good quality fabric.

The embroidery is beautiful, as well sewn on the back as the front. The fabric is most probably polyester. I did a burn test on a few snipped threads from the inside seam, and they melted. The seams are a surprisingly generous 1/2". I ordered one size larger, a 3x, and it fits like most U.S. size 2x dresses. But, it is attractive and comfortable, and the price is amazingly cheap.

I love these dresses because they are gorgeous and very comfortable. They are supposed to be a little blousy so I expect them to be a little lose which is comfy! I did get a small one also this time which I like, but it clings a little more to the chest area which I don't like. I am a 10, but a 36 D chest for reference so smaller chest women would be fine. I am most comfortable with the medium though. I am 5' 2'' and 145 pounds with a somewhat athletic build for reference.If you enjoy having an attractive house dress then this is perfect! My husband always says I'm wearing a moo-moo, but coming from TX women there wear them out places.

UPDATE: After discussing with the seller, there is no restocking fee for exchanges. So I returned the XL ($4 return shipping) and guess what? No L in stock. Due to Corona they are experiencing a lot of delays in receiving dresses! Its been over 1 week still waiting. Unfortunately now I am down $10 for this dress exchange and will have to spend another $6 to have the new one shipped! So total $16 in shipping costs. This makes a $40 dress cost $56! I am disappointed to say the least because this was supposed to be my "birthday" dress. Moral of the story here....Buy true to size! Prime shipping ONLY!This is exactly what I wanted in a Puebla dress! The embroidery is brightly colored, beautifully stitched and happy. I purchased the navy color. It makes the embroidery pop even more. The material is thin so the lighter colored dresses might be see-through. Based on the reviews and sizing description I sized up to an XL instead of my usual L. However the XL is definitely NOT a max 40" bust, its more like 44" bust! I suggest to select your regular size as the dress is very roomy. The XL is very big on me but I LOVE the dress and colors on the design. I am disappointed there is a 20% restocking fee for returns since this is online shopping! I will probably order a L in the future after I wear the dress and see how it feels.

I am very pleased with this Mexican Peasant Dress. I followed the directions for sizing, so it fits nicely. I have not had one of these in 40 years. It brings back fond memories!! It will be perfect on a beach vacation! I live in Dallas, and these dresses are ridiculously expensive in the two stores that carry them. I found this one on Amazon, and I am very pleased with the quality. I will, most likely, get another one!
