The lamp came in parts in quite a small box, and was well packaged. Construction was easy as was the set up. Once constructed the lamp looks great and it well balanced. Moving the arm does make a noise, but this is a small point as I now have the arm in the place I need it, so I won't be moving the arm again any time soon. I really like the fact that there are different light levels to choose from that suit the task you are undertaking. The brightest light is especially good for close work. The fact that you can operate the light remotely is useful, and would be very helpful for those with limited mobility. I would recommend this light to anyone looking for adjustable lighting, regardless of whether this is for close, detailed work, or something like reading.

Excellent product! Have used it for several weeks now. It has a range of different colour tones and brightness. The remote is magnetic and attaches to the lamp. My eyesight is not as great as it was, so a bright light suits my requirements. Of course, it can be dimmed. Right quality for the price point.

Only lasted under 18 months and now it doesn't work, shame as it was good while working.

When my mother was setting up her new house she paid £350 for a reading light (which was on offer) and I was aghast. I bought this for £50 for my new flat, have a choice of light colours and brightnesses AND got a remote control. Who got the best deal?

Brilliant the base has weight and does not fall over when you adjust the lamp. I've bought lamps before but have had to put a weight on the base. easy to build, with a range of light density.

It is a very good lamp, offers a wider range of dimmability than most and the remote is really useful for someone often bedbound BUT, as others have mentioned, it conks out after about a year. It's not hugely expensive so you could write it off as only £x per month so O.K., but one expects a better performance from this kind of lamp. I had to fetch put a broken lamp (stand, not workings, not dangerous just in need of cateful propping up) in the middle of the night to replace this instantly, and that wasn't safe or fun. Please bear this clearly common issue in mind when making your informed choice.

Was a nice lamp whilst it worked but it lasted less than a year and then stopped working. Similar to other reviews. So not fit for purpose and not as described. Poor choice if still Amazons choice. In fairness I did contact amazon customer services and they have processed a refund, no quibble, as item was not long life as described. Probably only used less than 1000hrs not 100,000.

A sturdy light. Easy to put together.Choice of brightness is brilliant and the strongest is amazing. I was amazed at the brightness. The flexible arm is excellent,I thought it was too short but because the light is so strong nd shines down on it's ideal height .
